Time keeps on slippin' into the future.

Seems pretty slow around here.

The number of bad threads has decreased, but there's not that much else to talk about about.Fernando Bryant was signed. Honestly, I'd never heard of him before, but people on the board seemed to respond positively, so that's good.

I'm still hoping for a Law signing.

I tell you, I like the Takeo rumors. That would remove some ?'s about the LB corps.

, please go to Dallas. You could do too much damage at the Foxy Lady.

People are getting very emotional about the season ticket price increase.

I'm really looking forward to the draft and having something interesting to talk about. I have the feeling that things are going to be pretty quiet between now and then.

We're settling in in Suzhou. Today we visited a nearby water village. Many local people were gawking at my 4 year old blonde son like he's a rock star. Some people took his picture.

Going to Bangalore tomorrow. Long trip and not my favorite place.

Sorry, this isn't the best countdown post evah. If someone added some "i can haz pats pics?" to the thread, it could* be.

You've still got at least one faithful reader. I know it's slow until mid April when people really start hitting the draft stuff hard. You'll probably have another Spygate outbreak this week to talk about next Sunday...I just have a feeling.

I understand about your son, too. Whenever I am in the PI people stare.

I have to see my uncle, who is a Giants fan, for the first time since Christmas. I am dreading it.

Must be nice for you having the family there now with you, eh PJ??

Let me ask you this as you enjoy real chinese food and make your way through the most foreign of all countries...

1) Pacman - if, BB, SP, MK & BK all certify him NE Patriot worthy after having forced gallons of kool aid down his throat and IF the locker room leaders give him an opportunity.......do we, as fans of New england, give the guy a chance? I would hope that he says all the right things and actually goes out and plays football (which he sure can do - never been a problem between the lines).

2) All we really know about Fernando is that he has been a career starter -having started just about all the games he played in - seems like a decent pick up. Does it make sense to say that good players on bad teams play much better when they get to really good teams?

3) Takeo & Seward - I would sure feel better about our LB'ers if these two guys came to us.

4) We are off to our second vaca since the Supebowl (needed two after that) when we get back....will only be 3 weeks to the draft - that is an much easier count to take then your 45 weeks to SB 43.

5) I agree - would love to see another year or two of Ty Law.

6) The season ticket backlash surprises me as well - look at the price of Red Sox tix - they have 80 & home games and wait until you see what Dallas, Giants & Jets will be charging for their seats as well as their PSL's - then our situation will fall into perspective.

7) Draft - DO we trade down? Down we trade up? DO we go after either Long, Ghoulston or even Dorsey I do not think we will draft a CB. Mcfadden is intriguing, but, let the Jets have him (if they dare).

1) Yes, if they brought him in, I'd get on board. I trust them much more than myself with these decisions. But right now, I'd say let's take a woka woka woka pass.

We had some great local Chinese food today. And I mean local. Tasted very good and didn't even get us sick.

I'm confused.

What are you counting down to?

In 45 weeks, it will be 2 days after the Super Bowl again and there won't be any football to watch.

Yeah I just meant I'm interested in how many weeks left until football STARTS, not when it ENDS!

Same here. I can't wait for it to start. Of course.

My countdown is about fulfillment and vindication with the boys finishing what should have been done 7 weeks ago. It's...a...countdown...to...VICTORY.

Dun dun dunnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

does that mean something in chinese?:D

Like I said before, I recommend focusing your countdown on the start of the season instead. (7 weeks down, +/- 20 to go) :)

I think it's cool. I don't agree with everything he says, but I enjoy having that to read every week. Determination, my friend :]

I remember when a lot of people (including myself) were hesitant about bringing a certain wide receiver out of Oakland on board due to his checkered past. I personally have no problems with bringing in Pacman. It'll be an instant upgrade to what we already have at the cornerback position.

As long as you make an effort. I find the countdown somewhat depressing, but i like it knowing you'll attempt a lighthearted post. Sometimes off season threads get AGGGGHHHHHHH to read, but i always enjoy yours.

Can't say I really get in to the haz pics stuff, must be generational.

I think we really score in this draft/FA. Young blood needed.

Why are you surprised about the backlash? A $44 per seat increase is nothing to sneeze at, not to mention the parking and commuting nightmares.

I'm genuinely happy that you are keeping your season tix. Long term season tickets holders are dwindling nowadays.

Not Tuesday.

One game at a time!! You can't win the super Bowl in October, but you can lose it!! (stolen from some baseball quote).

Please adjust your numbers.:D

Yeah they get old and grumpy just like you......

I pay you a compliment and you post this drivel? I wasn't even born in 1971 and you call me old and grumpy?

I've got it: I'm going to start counting down to the draft, training camp, preseason, opening day, playoffs, and the Super Bowl.

Every thread, a countdown!

OK by me.

Shows how lazy I am about math, I knew your numbers were way too long til the start of the season, but it was easier to just accept them than figure out the right total.:D
