Talk about big time, shut-down corner. This kid is it. For those of you who missed what turned out to be a great senior bowl, 3 people in my mind stood out. Sedrick Ellis may as well have been a young Warren Sapp in Tampa pewter, he was an animal in the interior and could not be blocked. He's a penetrator and a run-stopper, he's everything you want in a 1 or 2 gap inside DT or Nose. Unfortunately, he won't be there at #7.

Gosder Cherilus was impressive at RT, he dominated the DE's he faced all game long and was a road grader all night long in the run game.

The guy that really jumped out at me was Rogers-Cromartie, first of all, call me crazy, but is he related to Antoinio ? His one pick, where he out-verticalled and high-pointed that ball on the sideline had Antoinio Cromartie written all over it. The kid isn't just finesse, how about that open field stick he laid on that swing pass out to that 230lb back, Cromartie squared him up and planted him with a (-) to 0-slope YAC, that was impressive. Then he made just a tremendous play and break on the ball on that sideline out that he broke up after being about 8-10 yards off the wr when the pass was thrown.

I watched the first half and Cromartie did look good and I kept waiting for the announcers to say if he was related to the Chargers cornerback. I believe that Sedrick Ellis has New York Jets fans hoping he is around when its their turn to pick because he is a stud.

I disagree 100%.. This guy is a typical workout warrior.. Has great measurables and a senior bowl game but was constantly a non factor in a lower level talented college division. He had only 2 ints last year...

Read an article on sportingnews (i believe), that said he was constantly burned by WR's that will never see the day of light on a sunday afternoon in the nfl

Not since Aeneas Williams terrorized receivers at Southern University (1987-90) has a Division 1-AA cornerback dominated like Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

Of the 161 passes thrown into his territory, the opposition managed to catch just 55 balls (34.16 completion percentage) for 620 yards and three touchdowns. He allowed just 3.85 yards per pass attempt during his career with the Tigers.

I'm not sold on this guy. To many references to his cousin, and I do question where he played. His cousin was at FSU for being a straight up athlete, this kid was at a lower level school. Last first rounder I remember having second guesses about is Carolina's angelo Williams who pretty much turned out what I fear for this guy.

It's funny how Antonio rose the same way during the combine, and then had the same questions about his experience and durability come up, and now he's a pro bowler, now I'm not saying Dominique is going to be a pro-bowler, I'm saying the ideal situation for us is that we trade down if Gholston isn't available and take Cromartie if Groves is gone.

Antonio was taken in the first round after basically being a nickelback as a soph and not playing in his junior year because of ACL surgery in July before the draft. He was a true freak. I'm not sold on cousin.

DRC projects great, but he is raw raw raw. With Bryant in the mix now, I think we can work with him for a year or two, but if they want a starting CB for week 1, DRC isn't it. In a trade with Dallas for the 22 and 28 I would love to get DRC and one of the OT's.

Won't happen dude, DRC wont' get past the Saints at #10.

Look, I won't cry if it's McKelvin or DRC, I think both are going to turn out to be the stud CB's of the 08 draft.

But there is no chance that DRC will last past the 15th pick, never mind falling to the Cowboys pick at #22, but hey, it's wishful thinking on your part nonetheless.

You heard it here first. DRC has cracked the top five! The Chiefs will pick him with their top pick to replace Ty Law. The Patriots will sit tight at #7 and take Mike Jenkins of South Florida. Anything else you hear or read is false.

What you provided tends to go against what I've read. But i hate seeing players being compared to present and past players.. Aeneas Williams was a 3rd rd pick.. If DRC is sitting there in the 3rd, grab him..

What I dont' like is he played at a small school and was much of an INT machine..

Needs to add weight and bulk up...Not very physical and has to get stronger...Did not play against top competition...Still raw and will need to work on his technique and footwork...Struggles to shed blocks...Doesn't really offer much in run support.

Pats love corners that can tackle.. And remember, when you add weight, you lose speed. Look at Roy Willams.

I completely agree dude, he's too much of a risk to take at 7, like I said before, trade down, or take BPA at 7 (even if it's Dorsey, or Clady).
