Gholston is GONE by pick 7 - In fact several mocks have him going #1 to Miami

He probably will be but GMAFB with this definitive crap. He easily could be there. 3-4 OLB conversions usually don't go in the top six; admittedly there's more 3-4 teams now but there is NO guarantee at all that he's gone at #7.

As the days go by, it's seems less likely that the Pats are going to have a shot at Gholston. If they want him, their going to have to trade up. Some reports have him going as high as #2 overall to the Rams, which I don't believe. After seeing what happened to Marc Bulger last year, the Rams have to take Jake Long, which would be a great pick. The Pats best bet is to hope that he drops to the Cheifs at #5 and swap picks with them. My gut feeling is that the Jets will grab Gholston if McFadden is off the board.

Really? Which ones? Links?

Don't have em - Saw them on various mocks around the internet from some of those self proclaimed pronosticators - but can't supply the link,Only what I came around to when I googled it last week but trust me some are calling Gholston a #1 - Is he better and less risky than Long at #1? - I can't say that

And no way he goes #1...

theres 5 studs that would be awesome for us, Chris Long, Jake Long, Darren McFadden, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, and Vernon Gholston. We are pretty much guaranteed a shot at 2 of them at the seventh pick, since Matt Ryan, Glenn Dorsey, and Sedrick Ellis at least two of them will go top 7, and that will push two of the 5 studs down to us. Most likely it will be McFadden, Cromartie, and Gholston availible at 7 for us, id love any one of them.

We are guaranteed to get a stud no matter what which is a good thing no matter who goes where.

McFadden would have a better chance getting drafted by the Bruins than the Patriots.

If NE takes McFadden IMO theres no doubt BB is not happy with Maroney and Morris combo - Why else would you have another rookie with a guy thats already here and less than 24 years old and drafted #1 round in 2006?

they said the same thing about Meriweather, Moss, Dillon etc. Patriots will draft good football players, and McFadden is a good football player so he will be in consideration.

The bruins really could use the help on offense. :D

i think McFadden is overraited they say hes the next Adrian Peterson and even if he is hes not going to a team with Steve Hutchinson Matt Birk and Bryant McKinnie on the OL if maroney had that OL he would have 1600yerds

The Pats use more of a RB by committee approach they use two backs usually, McFadden would certainly upgrade Morris and Faulk is getting old. Dont think it would say anything about Maroney hes not going to be the only RB carrying the rock no matter who is here.

not a chance Gholston falls to the pats.

As a certified genius, a member of MENSA, and a student who got a 32 on his SAT, i would say Gholston falls before 7; for all intensive purposes.

A 32 on your SAT would certify you as being as intelligent as an empty banana peel.
