1. Miami - Chris Long DE Virginia
Long brings the type of character, bloodlines, and talent to be a #1 overall pick. His all around ability on defense will be a welcomed addition to the Phins front seven.

2. St. Louis - Jake Long OT Michigan
Orlando Pace is on his last legs, and the Rams must improve their pass protection in order for the offense to go. Long has the ability to step in right away and become the new anchor for the Rams line.

3. Atlanta - Matt Ryan QB Boston College
Landing a signal caller has to be priority #1 for the Falcons. A player with tremendous leadership qualities and character is the ideal fit to line up under center, which makes Ryan the obvious choice.

4. Oakland - Darren McFadden RB Arkansas
Fargas was re-signed and Rhodes restructured, but neither are franchise caliber backs. The Raiders have been active adding some pieces, and now they add a back capable of big plays immediately.

5. Kansas City - Glenn Dorsey DT LSU
Hoping either Long or Ryan are available, the Chiefs go with plan C. Adding Dorsey to the front four gives the Chiefs a potentially dominating defensive line.

6. New York Jets - Vernon Gholston DE/OLB Ohio St.
Although the Jets brought in Calvin Pace at a steep price, you can never have enough pass rushers. Gholston is a terror off the edge and could help make the Jets tough to deal with.

7. New England(from SF) - Ryan Clady OT Boise St.
Clady is an athletic tackle that can keep pressure off the QB. The Patriots sure could have used that against the Giants with the constant pressure applied to Tom Brady all night. Despite the need for help in the back seven of their defense, the Pats shore up the left tackle position.

8. Baltimore - Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie CB Tennessee St.
Rodgers-Cromartie has been on a steady climb up the draft boards since the end of the season. He has more potential than any corner in the draft because of his combination of height, natural athleticism, and speed but he is also the biggest question mark because of his frame and his lack of throwing his body around on the field. With two veterans and time to develop his talent, the Ravens take the chance on landing the next Deion.

9. Cincinnati - Keith Rivers LB USC
Rivers is a guy who could play a number of positions, which is a big plus for a team with depth issues at linebacker. The defensive line could still use some help, but Rivers potential as a difference maker is too good to pass on.

10. New Orleans - Sedrick Ellis DT USC
The Saints really couldn’t draw things up better. After addressing the DE, LB, and CB positions in free agency, they now shore up the interior defensive line with Ellis.

12. Denver - Chris Williams OT Vanderbilt
13. Carolina - Rashard Mendenhall RB Illinois
14. Chicago - Brian Brohm QB Louisville
15. Detroit - Jeff Otah OT Pitt
16. Arizona - Antoine Cason CB Arizona
17. Minnesota - Derrick Harvey DE Florida
18. Houston - Kenny Phillips S Miami
19. Philadelphia - DeSean Jackson WR Cal
20. Tampa Bay - Mike Jenkins CB South Florida

I like it, seems reasonable top 7, and I would be more than happy with Clady.

Not to be facetious, but think about the implications being made here if you say the Patriots are going to "shore up" a position where they had an All-Pro starter who played every game. . . .

Probably the same implications that the Ravens are going to face when they have to replace a 13-year "Pro-Bowler" in Ray Lewis.
