we fail to activate Troy Brown for the game. (while he was on the team)
:D

I know he wouldn't have helped this go round. But since projo put out the story that he is gone; I thought maybe a little off-beat something extra in addition to the normal laudatory goodbye thread.

I still pretty firmly believe that if he had been active in the SB vs the packers that we could have won that game. (at least closer) Turnstiles on the ROG, ROT or not. Troy would have given Drew a hell of a lot of underneath quick dumpoffs that toward the end of the game would have counterbalanced that pass rush.

(PS - yeah I know doesnt count the 86 game either. but considering that one spoils the punch line.)

Anyway, point of the post. Here's to TROY BROWN. One of the most durable, dependable, lovable Patriots of all time. The all time Pats reception record couldn't be held by a better man (as much as I love stanley steamer too.)
I'll hate to see you in a browns uni next year (or whoever's) but I can understand if you love the game (and the high six figure vet salary) that you have to give it one more shot. Best of luck my man and I hope you come back to us as a wr coach when it is all said and done.

I never thought of it that way, but I second the sentiment.

They only lose Super Bowls when.....

They reach the Super Bowl.

The Pats lost their edge when Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel

left. They were more valuable to the team than we thought.

Did they lose the edge or did they lose talented coaches that helped win. Saying they lost their edge when Charlie and Romeo makes me think that them leaving made the team care less or try less.

They were talented coaches who were able to break down and

explain the offensive and defensive schemes to the players.

Yes, and all their 19-0 seasons prove that it was all about them, while this last 18-1 season show just what a bunch of scrubs this team now has....
