OT: Ever meet a Pats fan you DIDN'T like?

Yes, after the Superbowl in 2004 in Houston I was celebrating afterward and I started to talk to a Pats fan. The guy was a racist jerk and I had to walk away from him. Very disappointing...

Surprisingly yes . What I learned about a lot of your fan base is that no matter how much sh#t you guys may say to me when you see my Jets jersey, some of you are not so bad when I laugh it off, joke around and throw some Pat related comments right back. One story was the time that about 5 of my friends and myself went to the draft 2 yrs ago and my buddy who is an Eagles fan nearly threw down with some liquored up 40 yr old Pats fan. This is a 20 yr old college kid talking the average smck talk you would expect betweens fans of oppossing teams.

Yes... it is a rarity, but last year one of my best friends and I went up to Buff to catch a game. He's a good kid, lives in NH... is used to going tit-for-tat with Pats fans and holds season tickets up at the Ralph. We somehow scored front row tickets right on top of one of the replay booths and were having a great time. Obviously a lot of hard core Bills fans all around us, but we had gone old school... me in my Grogan shirt, he in his Kelly throwback (we figured we'd give a tip of the hat to the old days at the Ralph... given that we both thought that the Pats would destroy the Bills)... the fans around us were cool... but then three of the most obnoxious Pats fans sat next to us. We ended up winning the game by a ridiculous amount and these guys just continued to berate all of the hard core fans around us. My buddy sat through the game and kept his mouth shut... but a lot of the other fans really started getting angry. Now, I'd never sell out on other Pats fans at an away game... and didn't... but man, those guys made us angry.

Here we all were joking and laughing about current NFL, all of the great teams that Buff and NE had fielded... some of the great players that had been on some of the poor teams that each team had fielded, how awesome BB is... how cool our current dynasty was, how cool theres had been (ummm... except for the four losses in a row... which they took in good humor)... and these jerks come up and wreck it.

Anyway... those are really the only Pats fans that have ever gotten to me... I know folks have to be who they are... but the worst for me was them not knowing who the Pats had lost to in '85... and not "remembering" that we had lost to Green Bay in the Sup... these folks actually thought that the Pats began with Drew Bledsoe being drafted... just my 2 pennies.. but those guys sucked!

Seriously though, I have to say, 99% of the people on this board are great. Bills fans have a lot in common with you Pats fans... we both hate the Giants, Jets, and Dolphins!
