It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Keep in mind this is the third pick of the second round - the second if you include a certain #1 pick that was stolen. So it's REALLY close to a low #1; a far higher pick than generically saying "a #2".Wow only a 2nd rounder
According to ESPN he'll be getting basically (just under) what Samuel got.
So worth it...
I would have been all over that.
Good deal for the Raiders.
Rotoworld said:The Raiders must first finalize a contract with Hall that will pay him just below what Asante Samuel signed with the Eagles. This one might fall under the category of "be careful what you wish for." If Hall wasn't happy playing for the Falcons organization, welcome to Crazy Al's Raiders.

Asomough hasnt signed tha one year Franchise contract yet. Tha Raiders could take it back if they wanted (tha chances of Aso gettin a big contract from them now is slim) & Aso could become a FA. I wouldnt be surprised.

Let's remember that all second round picks are not created equal. The Raiders is near the top of the round, nearly a 1st rounder. Ours is nearly a 3rd rounder. To put it another way, almost 2x as many players will be off the board when our second rounder comes around, as compared to the Raiders. So when people say "I would have been all over that", is it possible that we did offer ATL our second rounder for Hall, and ATL is just smart enough to prefer OAK's?I had previously said that I believed a second rounder would get the job done, guess I was correct. I never really wanted that guy on the Patriots and never expected them to make a play for him either, but it does look like some of the trades people were calling unfair to the Falcons actually were closer to what they wanted, and people were placing to much trade value on Hall.
I'll say the same thing about Lito Sheppard, I wouldn't give the Eagles more than a second rounder for him. he wants a big contract, too.
Although I would love to see Nnamdi Asomugha hit the streets, I don't see it happening. If he did, there are still plenty of teams with plenty of cap space. He'd still get a big deal somewhere.
I'd love for the Pats to go after him if he did become a free agent. I think he is better than either Samuel or Hall.
Would take Aso in a minute. At 6' 2' and 210 they might move him to S. The Raiders are trying to move SS Huff for a high choice. 25 years old, 6' 1" and 205 (could add ten lbs). They want an atypical FS (Sanders?) and a high choice? Or Aso perhaps as a FS?
Huff had 85 tackles last year (double of Sanders), 11PD and interception and a FF. He makes $6.43mm (?). This would resolve a lot of back end issues because he actually can cover (our biggest weakness was pass up the middle last year). A second and Sanders? Anybody? No better safety in the draft.
I'd get em.
Your right, Hall says this is all b.s.

Good deal for the Falcons.
