Deangelo Hall to the Raiders

for a second round draft pick, pending agreeing to a contract extention per espn

Re: Deangelo Hall to the Raiders

So worth it...

I would have been all over that.

Per ESPN News For a 2nd round pick in this years draft. Decent deal for both teams really. Too bad Oakland will still suck.

From what I have seen of him, seems like a bit of a loose cannon to me. Don't know how much discipline he would bring in following the schemes of BB.

It's going to be a little difficult to throw on the Raiders next year.

Re: DeAngelo Hall Traded to Raiders

Not underneath it won't. Plus how exactly are they to score points?

I disagree, and it depends on the $$$ of the extension. If its roughly on par with Samuel's, then its nuts to pay that much AND give up a 2nd rounder.

Re: Deangelo Hall to the Raiders

A second rounder and a deal that is close to what Samuel got is too much imo.

Re: Deangelo Hall to the Raiders

What is wrong with the Raiders, seriously... why would you want this mouthpiece?

Re: Deangelo Hall to the Raiders

Good deal for the Raiders.

Re: Deangelo Hall to the Raiders

So much for Hall only want to play for a winner. I never thought he would be a Patriot in a million years, but I figured he would want to go to a team that had a significantly better chance of going to the Super Bowl than the Falcons which the Raiders aren't. Personally, I give the Falcons a better shot to make it to the Super Bowl in the next five years than the Raiders.

Wow only a 2nd rounder for one of the top corners in the game good deal for oakland. Him and Nhamdi would be the best corner duo in the NFL easily.

I can't wait to see how bad they are going to overpay him. 11 million for 6 years?

I had previously said that I believed a second rounder would get the job done, guess I was correct. I never really wanted that guy on the Patriots and never expected them to make a play for him either, but it does look like some of the trades people were calling unfair to the Falcons actually were closer to what they wanted, and people were placing to much trade value on Hall.

I'll say the same thing about Lito Sheppard, I wouldn't give the Eagles more than a second rounder for him. he wants a big contract, too.

Didn't he get benched for a half earlier in the year for violating team rules?

Was that in relation to his outburst towards their coach? That was completely uncalled for and I wouldn't want a guy like that on the Patriots.

But, I was surprised when I heard what pretty much every player on the Falcons had to say about their former head coach. It seems they all disliked him, and most didn't even respect him. Warrick Dunn (usually a soft spoken guy who keeps his mouth shut) recently voiced his opinion about their former HC, and it was pretty harsh... Crumpler didn't have anything good to say about him either, so I think it wasn't really a DeAngelo Hall issue, but an entire team turning on a coach they didn't respect, because of the way he treated them. Still though, Hall shouldn't have acted out like he did, and he's had a big mouth in regard to other issues as well.

Falcons fine Hall $100,000, may bench him for part of next game

Associated Press

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- As if the loss of Michael Vick wasn't enough, the winless Atlanta Falcons are dealing with another distraction involving a high-profile player.

Pro Bowl cornerback DeAngelo Hall said Wednesday he's been fined $100,000 by the team and may have to sit out one or two quarters of the next game for his meltdown last week against the Carolina Panthers.

Hall wasn't pleased with the decision and plans to appeal through the NFL Players Association.

The Falcons (0-3) acted quickly after their defensive star was called for three penalties totaling 67 yards on one possession, including two personal fouls, then got into a heated sideline confrontation with coach Bobby Petrino and one of his assistants.

Petrino decided on the penalties after consulting some of the team's leaders.

"I don't think this is the first time it's happened in the National Football League, and it definitely won't be the last time," Hall said. "I think it's a little bit unfair. But he made his decision, and we need to move on from here. I'll try to rectify it and move on."

The penalties led to a Carolina touchdown that tied the game at 17 in the third quarter. The Panthers went on to a 27-20 victory.

"When things like that take place, it's unacceptable," said 10th-year linebacker Keith Brooking, who's been with the team longer than anyone. "DeAngelo knows that. I know he feels bad about it. But when things like that do occur, guys have to be held accountable."

Brooking added, "That's not the total reason we lost that game. But that was part of it, no doubt about it."

Good memory Sebman

I did NOT want that guy, however good he may be. The Raiders will never learn. Commitment to excellence? More like commitment to excrement if you ask me. That player and that team deserve each other.
