Do the Philadelphia Eagles see something that the Colts and Patriots did not see by signing up and using this guy as a full time fullback instead of his normal DT position?

He sucked as a DT and I am not sure why the Eagles are gambling that he has what it takes to play the FB position on a regular basis.

Although I can see him doing better at FB than DT,He can't be much worse

Maybe Dad Joe had him working at this area in the early offseason since he could never be what his Hall Of Fame father was at the DT position

Both the Pats and the Colts used him as a fullback.

OK edit--didn't see "fulltime" in your post. Sorry about that.

No duh, but not used before as a FULL time FB,He was used in certain goaline formations but primarily was for backup DT duty and that was what he was drafted for as a DT.

Edit: I saw you got the full time thing now as you corrected it,No biggie

Occasionally a receiving fullback in goal line situations too.

You should have reminded Dean Peas that before the 07 AFCCG.

Hopefully he gets cut before the season and nobody picks him up, he's a total loser.

What do you do in life when you are big(not tall), strong, fairly quick for your size, love to work out... but you have short arms and small hands?

You milk blocking FB $$$ out of everyone you can until your history.

Why do you say that?

Deep down,I think his dad who IMO was one of the best Defensive linemen in the 70s/80s and caused ultimate havoc for Grogan is feeling quite a bit dissapointed in his son who I am sure he thought was going to be as good as he was.

I wonder if it may become similar with Howie Long and his son as I am not as up on Long's son as #1 or top 5 pick as most are despite the good stats.

Still makes no sense. "He's a total loser" I hope nobody picks him up and he gets cut. Sounds more like, he once fumbled for the Patriots causing me to lose the spread and then he went to the hated Colts and scored on a touchdown causing me to lose my bet.
I'm thinking that's closer to the truth.

He seemed pretty nimble for someone his size. Just doesn't have the size agility combo to play any defensive position in the NFL.

Gotta love posters sitting in their underwear scratching zits calling an in demand football player a loser.

I'm sure you've got the skinny on the Klecko family situation.

Why not reread your post, think of any father and son and realize how ridiculous you sound?

Maybe they wanted a recieving back in goal-line situations. ;):)

Wasn't Klecko a 5th round draft pick? I don't think anyone expects a 5th rounder to be a hall of fame tackle.

This is just another case of Andy Reid out-thinking himself.

I haven't seen too many Pats/Colts game-but logic says how can some DT who's only played FB sparingly all of a sudden fit himself into a fulltime FB?

BTW-Samuels will blow up in their faces-book it.

The Patriots took Klecko ahead of Samuel in the 4th round of the same draft.

I wish Klecko the best. Why not? He's got a great attitude, loves the game and gives his all. NOT a loser.

He has more rings than his daddy.

I think full back is the right position for him. He should get in better shape definantly, but he looked good when NE used him in that role. I thought they should have kept him there but it is what it is.
