NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports the Jets will host free agent DB Ty Law on Wednesday.

Law, who's also on the Patriots' radar, is seeking one last multi-year deal to finish his career. He'd have a good chance to play extensively right away for either organization. The Jets could give him a look at free safety.

After last season, MangIdiot better hope he's bringing his cousin's dufflebag with him.

Multi year? Jeez Ty it was a nice thought you'd come back while it lasted.

LOL Tangini cut him from his second to last long term deal that turned out to be a one year deal about ten minutes after they replaced Herm, and given neither of them has tremendous job security pending a playoff season...

I guess a leopard never changes it's spots. Just last week he said he wanted to play for a winner. If he pulls this crap again even Bill will finally delete his number from the rolodex.

multiyear... oh well

Greed. Pure greed.

If the Jets want him over two or more years with guaranteed money, more fool them.

I'm guessing this thread will inspire a bunch of anti-Law posts while if the first word was replaced by "Patriots" it'd somehow be the opposite ala Zack Thomas.

Do the Jets have room to sign him? I still think he ends up here.

Well, you can want a player at 1 year 4-5 million and not want him at 3 years 20 million. In fact that's roughly how the Patriots built their team.

No offense but I pray to god we don't want him at 1 year 4-5 million. Have you seen him lately? I think he ate Herm Edwards career :D At 1-1.4 maybe I take a shot, but if he's out there for more, let the Jets have him so they can put him on Welker in the slot and we can expose the fact that he changes directions like a dragster.

Actually, I haven't sen him recently. I know he puffed up with the Jets, but how is he looking now?

I actually haven't seen him much, though the few times I was priveledged to watch Dolphins KC or KC as my national game, he was still on the "strong safety" side of things as I recall (hard to be sure, our local station broadcasts 'widescreen' HD signals sometimes.

I would only welcome Ty Law back if he took a pay cut to come back to New England. I really can't see him doing that and I think he's out of the Pats price range. I'd love to see the Jets overpay for him though. He does look a whole lot heavier than when he was first with the Pats.

I want no part of Law. He is a walking pass interference who just is not good any more.

is it just me or is Manidiot going after exactly the same people the pats are. Even mock drafts have them going after the same...wether Gholston or a top Cornerback...

it is actually annoying.....

Ty Law versus Randy Moss...

Now that you admitted you haven't really seen him... He made close to $12M the last 2 years in KC, we had offered him $11M for the same time period. Corners don't come cheap, look what Randall Gay got. Ty says he's healthy and he wants to play for 3 or 4 more years. If he wants to be compensated as a starting corner for that entire time there is no way Bill brings him back. If he wants corner money this year and safety money for a couple of more years I think Bill would welcome him. But if he's ****ing around with his show me the money BS touring again, Bill will move on. Waited 3 months on him last time and it probably cost us some other moves that might have helped in 2006.

I'm not hopeful seeing as he was saying how pissed he claiming he was this season hearing all the talk about tainted championships. So interviewing with the little pissants that started all this crap isn't a promising sign that the important things ever change with Ty.

I wonder if he's still with the Poston's...they never leave a nickle on the table, even if it's a funny money nickle.

What a surprise. The Pats are rumored to be interested and now the Jets are interested. Shocker there.

I would welcome back Law at a value deal. I still think his future is at FS, but I think in the right system he has two or three years left in him.

Experience aside ... is Ty Law a better player right now than James Sanders? Ty Law was a great player but if he's not as quick or doesn't tackle as well as Sanders I say we save the coin and let our guy (Sanders) cantinue to get better.
