"The Worst Cornerback in the League"

To be fair the second play on the clip, where Smith adjusts to the ball, wasn't a catch. His elbow landed out before the 2nd foot.

Did Sanders steal your lunch money or something?

For real. I recently asked if Sanders banged his wife. I have never seen such animosity towards a player. Someone should tell Sanders to watch his back, DW is on the loose.

DW, give it up. It's just sad now. I used to think you were cool, now it's just creepy, cousin.

I don't get all of the cousinspeak... I thought that was,... odd.

I thought this was the Duane Starks thread. My bad.

My personal favorite is when Thomas completely fails to tackle Plaxico Burress not once, but twice on the same play.

In addition to no speed or reaction time. It looks like he has middle ear trouble. Or maybe he is distracted by (or attracted to) shiny objects.

You must not be familiar with slang in the Northeast, Terry. Cousin IS like esse. Except I doubt PatJew is Mexican or Latino.

For all the Ellis Hobbs haters......It could be MUCH worse.....:bricks:

Just watch this clip over and over about 20 times. Relive the pain. Then realize that you are kidding yourself if you think Hobbs can be a #1 corner in this league. Hobbs will be alright as our #2 or Nickel, but I shudder at the thought of him as the Pats #1 corner next year. I don't entirely blame him for getting schooled by Burress, I blame the coaching staff just as much for leaving Hobbs 1 on 1 vs Burress who just ate him up and took his lunch.

Fred Thomas is horrendous. The video is missing the shot of Donte Stallworth torching him for a long TD in the 2006 postseason, one of the most aggregious acts of letting a guy get behind you I've ever seen.

Regards,
Chris

Not to mention, he plays 15 yards off EVERY receiver. We know he's quick, so why play like that? I guess it's because he's got little to no instinct.

I never said Elis should be the number 1 corner....However, who's to say Asante doesn't get abused on that same exact play?....Could have easily happened especially given the size advantage Plexy glass had..
