OK, OK, keep your shirts on for a moment...

A couple of things first - I am a Patsfan through and through. My stomach churns EVERY time I hear the national media say, "The Patriots CHEATED," because (besides their gleeful tone), in my mind, the filming the Pats been shown to have done amounts to a violation of rules: to call it cheating would be to say that holding is cheating, and yet a player is 'held' on virtually every play from scrimmage. We don't see holding as cheating but just how the game is played.

On the other hand- If BB picked up anything that led to wins by filming AFTER the league specifically said to stop, well, that makes me equally sick. I don't want anything to do with winning like that, nothing. (Plus it interferes with my pure enjoyment of everything Patriots).

Looked at this way, BB could reasonably be deemed a 'cheater.' And someone who alters the outcome of an NFL game by a calculated, intentional scheme (it is impossible to believe BB's statement on face value that he thought the rule meant he couldn't use the tapes he made during the same game they were taken. Nothing he does concerning the team is so lightly explained) is a pretty bad dude in my book - it takes all the fun out of being a fan. And it begs the question-

Are Pacman's foolish, degenerate actions actually more replusive? Though he should be ashamed for his complicity, he didn't shoot that bouncer in Vegas. Pacman is a kid with lot's of money and no self-control, a social dope needing to learn regard for himself and others. That doesn't mean he shouldn't be punished but his 'crimes' are of a much different nature than the leader of a billion dollar enterprise scheming to beat the system, a system we hold dear as our most fond recreation.

Are we being hypocritical in condemnations of Pacman as a bad apple? If we really think signing/trading for Pacman would be against everything the Patriots stand for, don't we need to reconsider the conduct of our own head coach?

Wow. I think a slight difference is that Pacman's 'crimes' really are crimes.

who would you feel safer living next to?

I guess the offseason brings up some rather odd ideas...this one is WAY out there..I am really ashamed..of how supposedly good minds equate CRIMINAL acts..with what Coach B alledgedly did...that is pretty high on the stupid meter..

who would you feel safer living next to?

Certainly safr with "boring" BB, however, -- it's just gotta be more interesting living next to a guy who has a strippers pole in his living room....

PACMAN HAS FOUND A WAY TO STAY OUT OF TROUBLE
We're not quite sure how we missed this one, but even though it's a couple of days old it's too good to ignore.
In a recent radio appearance during which Titans cornerback Pacman Jones reiterated his desire to play for the Dallas Cowboys, Jones revealed that he has found a way to keep himself out of strip clubs.
"I've got a [stripper's] pole in my house now," Jones said.

That is funniest response to a queation I have posted here.

OK - well it had to come out sometime... Yes, Belichick murdered a few people, but he was a minor at the time, did his time in Juvie and as of age 18 has a clean record.

So while technically yes, as a murder (the term "mass murder" is SUCH a cliche') he is worse than Pacman Jones, he did his time and has stayed clean ever since.

Now let's just forget all about this as it has NO bearing whatsoever on the Patriots 2008 season, which is where we need to keep our focus.

Lets assume this

Pacman does this act to YOUR MOTHER OR SISTER will get the same response from you to say you finding out that your KIDS FOOTBALL team lost because the opponent coach broke a rule and video taped the pratice...
Or lets say some one parallizes your WIFE OR HUSBAND WHEN they are in a club.
WOW .... i am totally do not see it.

really, really stupid question...

but the intent was good...im pretty sure;)

Actually, I think the strippers pole in the house is more dangerous. Considering his background, I wouldn't be surprised if some stripper files charges for assault or rape at some point whether real or imagined.

Whatshisname?, the RB for the Redskins, has one too.

The off-season sure does inspire some interesting thread choices...

Hmmm...let's think.....ummmmm ........no.

Let's say Pacman has a religious experience and seeks forgiveness from God. Let's take this a step further and suppose God really does forgive him. Never the less should our organization do business with him? Probably Not.

Which God? If Vishnu gives him the OK, I might consider it. But if it's only Ra that gives him the thumbs up, I say we should take a pass.

"Is Pacman worse than Belichick?"

Is this question really being asked?!?

The last time I checked no one was killed or in danger of any physical harm as a result of Belichick's actions.

I know we are having fun at the original poster's expense, but all kidding aside, this has to be one of the dumbest posts I've ever seen. I'm usually an easy going person but a post like this really gets under my skin. Original poster, I'm sure you are a good person and that it was just a brief moment of insanity that took over when creating this post.

Well, what a relief, I've only been called stupid twice...

but not one serious reflection...

Is a coach proven to have intentionally broken the NFL bylaws and that such actions led to wins for the Pats (no, not this year) actually less 'Patriotic', and worse for the the way the Pats supposedly do business, than hiring a social degenerate?

A person with great power, the role model for a billion dollar organization, the face associated with all that's right about how the football game should be played for millions of people, betrays all that trust...isn't that a crime anyway you shake it out?

I don't know, but I'm hardly surprised with the response...

So you think Bonds/Clemens are worse than Pacman? By this logic Vick is better than Belichick. And you are using some big "ifs" Belichick has yet to have been shown to do any of the things you say he has.

I just cannot even comprehend your logic. What you say makes the same amount of sense to me as "I let the chicken drive my car because the cow was drunk." No offense, I just don't get it at all. Maybe it's me.
