I'm thinking about 5 more years. Once he gets that 6th ring, he'll have nothing left to prove to the game and will likely retire a bit earlier than we like. Then again, Tom is a really competitive guy, so who knows, health permitting?
I believe it will be three or four. I know he's said he wants to play until he's 40 or somehting like that, but I think that his mindset will start to change as he approaches his mid-thirties.
In 4-5 years he will have broken every record there is, especially with Moss being in NE for the next few years. Good time to retire when you're on top.
Please God, no more than 5 years... I'm getting sick of him beating my team.
i could see Brady going out early though. He's has a presence off the field unlike a Brett Favre. We'll see. I give him 3 or 4 more years. I would love to draft Matt Ryan at 7 if he was there and sit him on the bench for 3-4 years in a Steve Young-Joe Montana situation. We have far more pressing needs and it won't happen but as a BC fan one can dream.
The real question is, will he be able to go out like Brett Favre? I mean, will the Pats let him play as long as he wants, or will they do what most teams do and send him packing when he is past his prime (like Montana)? It'll be interesting to see what happens when he starts showing signs of old age and the retirement questions start popping up.
You might have to eat that prediction when a 75 year old Romeo Crennell signs a 45 year old Tom Brady with declining abilities to a mega million dollar contract to play in Cleveland!
