Isn't Reiss wrong here?

No, he's correct, the Patriots have picks in every round. They have the 49ers first round pick (7th overall). Their own 2nd, the Raiders 3rd, their own 3rd, and their own 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th round picks.

Oh cool, didnt we lose one of our 3rd round picks cause of the spygate bs though?

No. That was our FIRST round pick that was forfeited. The reason we still have a first round pick is that it formerly belonged to the 49ers.

Exactly, if not for Spygate they would have two first rounders (7th & 31st overall), one 2nd, two 3rds (Raiders & their own), and one pick each in the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th.

Answering the question ahead of time (if slash83 wants to know), they got the 49ers first round pick in a 2007 draft day trade. NE sent their pick (28th overall) to the 49ers for the 49ers 2008 first rounder, and the 49ers 2007 4th rounder (seemed like a great trade for the 49ers at the time). The 49ers used that 2007 first round pick to select Joe Staley.

NE also used that 4th round pick they received from the 49ers in another draft day trade.... when they sent the pick to Oakland for Randy Moss!

Reiss is usually on the money when it comes to the Pats.

that was if we missed the playoffs. it was to be a 1st rounder if we made the playoffs. if we didnt, it was to be the 2nd and 3rd rounder

When the punishment was first announced, the Pats were to lose

their #1 pick if they made the playoffs or their #2 and #3 picks if

they did not make the playoffs.
