They have a left tackle already and now they have two new guards.

They have a new d-tackle but do they draft another?

Now they sign Pace which seems unlikely they draft Ghoulston and wrap up alot of money in another LB but who knows.

Do they trade down?

Do they make a run at Matt Ryan and try to get their franchise QB?

Or do they take a risk on McFadden?

Seems like the Jets have some options now even thought they signed some old dudes for big money.

I would assume that they're pretty aggressively trying to trade down

They tried to trade D.Robertson. But, he wouldn't re-do his contract. Supposed to make 9.8 this year. Now they will have to release him and not get anything for him. Didn't they give up two nr. one in 03 to get him? We got stuck with Ty Warren:) Damn, Im going to start posting more and more about how much more I know about football than our front office.

I thought I heard they traded Robertson to the Bengals for a 4th and 5th.

OK edit---saw that deal fell through

Nice hijack of the thread

I think they either trade down or take McFadden.

I'm gonna have to go with "Who gives a Crap" for 500 Alex

The beauty of that were the mysterious rumors that somehow got circulated at draft time and one which stated that the Pats were seriously looking to trade up for Robertson.

[edit] Forgot to answer the question. Jets will draft a punter.

I'd say McFadden or Ellis look attractive to the Jets right now.
Their run D was pretty bad.
Their RB is serviceable, but not special.

I'm just happy to know that they won't be drafting Gholston. I kinda hope the Pats keep their pick and use it to take him.

The Jets might find themselves in a fascinating position with the #6 pick. Suppose the top 2 guys available are Gholston and McFadden. On one hand the Jets could trade down with Dallas, stockpile picks and get themselves a defensive end, pass rush OLB and starting cornerback in about a 10 pick span.

On the other hand, they must be thinking about the Pats and their potential desire to draft Gholston. Suppose the Pats sent out signals that Gholston was their guy, and the Jets bit. The Jets draft Gholston, hope to rub it in the face of the Pats, and blitz the house on Tom Brady two times a year. This has to be running in the minds of Jets management right now as they look at their draft board.

do you think Atlanta looks at Gholston or even Oakland?

They will try to block whomever the Pats want, they are a joke organization.

I think Gholston will be at the Pats 7 pick.

Probrably looking at us more than themselves.

It's a very interesting question, isn't it? I don't really dare even guess, given how laughable the Jets are.

However, I think the Ryan idea has some merit. He could actually be there when they pick, as from what I've seen/read he seems to be losing favor (that might change after BC's pro day?).

I'm leaning that way as well. I don't know all that much about him, but I like what I've heard. I think BB could make good use of a guy like that.
Prior to the Pace signing, I thought NY might take him.
I think Gholston has sacks appeal.

My predictions:

1. Fins - Jake Long
2. Rams - Chris Long
3. Falcons - Ryan
4. Raiders - Dorsey
5. Chiefs - Clady

That leaves the Jets with McFadden, Ellis and Gholston as the logical options. I really think that Mangini and Tannenbaum will want to hear the crowd erupt in cheers on draft day. Look for McFadden if he makes it to #6.

It will be McFadden and then Thomas Jones will start his *****ing again.

They probably will try to land McFadden to be their "Moss". That's why BB/SP should try to "leap frog" them (Chiefs are at #5 and covet OL, Long or Clady should be there at #7) and feign interest in McFadden in order to entice Jerry Jones out of his 2 #1s plus perhaps some late round draft fodder. Get Mike Jenkins and Dan Connor or Quentin Groves.
