I doubt they trade him to us, though it would be nice.

Re: Miami to trade Jason Taylor

We had the poster here, Larry Whigham, who said the Patriots and Dolphins have had multiple discussions about him. However I've also been reading about Minnesota and GB offers but nothing about us.

Re: Miami to trade Jason Taylor

Trade Seymour for him. That would make my day!:D

Re: Miami to trade Jason Taylor

A player of his stature willing to leave town by mutual agreement can probably dictate where he wants to go. It won't be Minnesota in the Tavaris Jackson era. I suppose GB could be considered a contender if Favre is back. But he's a steep cap hit and all salary. You could manage the cap hit if you plan on a one and done scenario with a couple of million dead cap. But that doesn't usually garner a 2nd round pick. Maybe a 3rd if you have 2...

If as Jason Cole opines Bill knows Miami is rebuilding and won't win soon, which is why Taylor wants out and they are willing to let him go, sending Taylor here for a year or two at most wouldn't bother him.

Re: Miami to trade Jason Taylor

Jason Taylor and DeAngelo Hall are coming to new England. Book it!

I know this because Mercury Morris told me.

Re: Miami to trade Jason Taylor

Just an itch in brain... wouldn't be surprised at all if JT already had decided on the Pats and intends to force the move, by trade or outright release. This "Dancing with the Stars" thing translates to "*** k off, don't even think I'm playing ball with you, Parcells". One can dream. JT was none too excited about Parcells coming aboard as last season wound down. He was saying "Same old Shi t," to the press.

There is a poster on this board (Briz) who's been saying this for awhile now. I don't know that it will happen, but it would be pretty strange.

intriguing to say the least...

Re: Miami to trade Jason Taylor

why do you guys want JT so much???

i would love him here as well....if we had a need for him....

his projected role would be LB, and it would be ILB, b/c we are set at OLB...

for some reason i dont think JT would be asked to play ILB...so hes not coming here

Re: Miami to trade Jason Taylor

Have you been wearing Kevin Faulk's jacket?

He isn't wearing it, he is carrying it around in the travel bag he borrowed from Ty Law's cousin.

How are we "set" at OLB? JT would be an upgrade over anyone on the roster at that position. He would never play ILB.

Taylor is an upgrade over Adalius Thomas and Mike Vrabel?

Bill Parcells and Bill Belichick don't think that way. Taylor will go to

the highest bidder. This would be one way for the Patriots to avoid

using a high draft pick on a linebacker for the ninth straight year.

Re: Miami to trade Jason Taylor

Are you joking?

I don't know who is joking. Do you think Jason Taylor is better at

this stage of his career than all-pro Mike Vrabel and former all-pro

Adalius Thomas? I don't.

Re: Miami to trade Jason Taylor

For several years already, Taylor has given the distinct impression that
he would ask nothing more out of life
than to play a couple years in Foxboro.

Schmoozing with Brady ... alternating with Vrabel at goal-line TE ...
playing in the postseason!

IF he is shooting his way out of Miami - a big IF -
then it's because he is looking here.
