If you could pick a hole of the current Linebacker situation what would it be?

Obviously the bigger the more serious (trouble) it is

Compare it to the following....

1) A Pin Hole?
2) A Cheerio Hole?
3) A Manhole?
4) A Hole the size of the state of Texas?

I would pick a Donut hole ... at first it was like a beer mug hole
but the more i look at it I will go with a donut .. glazed perhaps.

How about a Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan?

As of now, we have a Texas size hole at ILB and a manhole (that we hope Woods can fill) at OLB.

CURRENT
OLB Vrabel, Thomas, Woods
ILB Bruschi, Alexander, Izzo
scrub Slaughter

I think the reality is
OLB Vrabel, Thomas, open
ILB open, open, Bruschi
ST Izzo, Woods, Alexander (this is an excellent threesome)
scrub Slaughter

Like, if a big massive Asteriod plunged into earth, when Teddy Bruschi removes it with his bare hands....that hole.

*Not really.

Considering that the defense the Pats play is built around playmaking LBs, and we have starting spots that need to be filled, I'd say it is a major one.

I'm thinking there is an outside chance we sign Lance Briggs. San Fran. just spent $$ on Smith and may want to spend on offense. There has been talk that he may resign with the Bears. I would think that the Pats could offer him a little more then he would settle for with the Bears.

Its a whole big enough to have opposing backs run through..

I thought Colvin played for the Bears?
Who freakin' pissed in your cereal.

Briggs played for the Bears and will play for the Bears. He signed a new deal with them today.

Lance Briggs re-signed with the Chicago Bears for $36 million/6 years.
