The NFL Network reported this is a strong possibility, no way.

The Packers are just as tight with their wallets as we are, they are not going to pay him significantly more than whatever he's been offered by us. And I don't see what team with a crappy situation will pay big bucks for him considering what happened in Oakland, and there's no way he'd fit in at Dallas.

A team like Denver maybe if they trade Javon Walker but didn't Denver also pass on Terrell Owens? I guess he had more actual on the field issues than Randy but still, I don't know if they'd make a serious play at Moss. Not many teams would pay him what he wants I don't think.

Arent we like 22million under the cap? I dont understand how thats tight in the wallet.

If Favre really begged you don't think so? The question is, can they really afford him? If the Pats are letting Moss walk, it better be over some serious paper. If the Pats don't value him at that, I don't see why so many other teams would. Moss is a game changer, 1st ballot HOF, possibly the #1 Wr in the game....When he's in the right situation.

Favre has 1 year left ... they will spend it even if they have to beg the devil.
It's going to be fun watching the Packers, Cowboys, Eagles go at it this year ... Giants have lost 3 good players already
it will be fun and oh ... to borrow a famous line ... "There Will Be Blood"

I am not talking of a collective number, I'm talking about not wanting to overpay big names. Even Brady took a big discount to stay a Patriot. The Packers havent really put a team around Favre either besides building their defense through the draft, they rarely splurge on big time free agents.

gotcha.....

I think if there's any QB Moss would like to play for besides Brady, it's Favre. Depends how far under the cap GB is. After all, they just traded Corey Williams away, but haven't gotten any FA's. They're building through the draft, but they can only spend so much money on draft picks. If they've got the dough for Moss, why not? It's not like they're that much less talented as the Patriots - which is the whole reason people think he'll forego money to sign with NE.

The question is what GB is willing to do for Favre. Maybe they really are ready to move on. Or maybe they want a SB run for a year or two with Favre and Moss. I think that they could sell a lot of advertising, team gear and win a few games. If the front office isn't willing to do this for Favre, then they should be fired by the fans. You do know that in GB, the fans actually own the team.

I think the Packers would make a serious play at Randy Moss.

After all, Brett REALLY wants him, and he is the perfect receiver for Brett's style of play.

If Green Bay has a weakness, it's certainly not at wide receiver. They have Jones, Jennings, Driver, and Koren Robinson. They also have a few other kids. Maybe they make Favre happy but he's around maybe one more year.

Moss will be a "leader" at wr? Does that stunt the growth of the kids? Want to get used to Aaron Rogers?

Green Bay needs corners and running backs. Woodson and Harris are getting old and Samuel points to where "elite" corners are.

Isn't Driver the man in Green Bay? Something is odd here?

I really wonder if Chad Johnson is on the horizon.

So what does Moss do when Favre hang his, errr, hands up...

Moss signs a 1 year contract.

Moss took a one-year "prove it" deal b/c that's what he could get.

I suspect he's not looking for that kind of a deal now.

Moss signs a 1 year contract.

But why give himself unstability? Even if he gets a contract of biblical proportions he'll probrably move on again. Just doesn't seem logical at this stage of his career and it's not like Randy Moss can't have a monster season here..

Everyone here is in denial. The longer this goes on the less likely it is that Moss remains a Patriot. Wake up. This does not look good.

I do not see him going to the packers because he wants a big payday and a long term deal, and to play for a winner. the packers had a fluke season last year and they might still be good but favre might not come back

Not quite there yet. He'd need a few more years with a QB like Brady or Favre to be there.

You're exactly right. I've prepared myself for the worse and that this will likely be the case. When teams want to re-sign their players they get it done, bottom line.

Not me. At this point, I'm convinced that he won't sign here. It's time for the FO to start focusing on making the New England Patriots a better team. I am sick and tired of hearing about other teams getting better. The entire AFC East has improved the talent on their teams, while our team has stood still. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. If the guy doesn't want to sign here, so be it. I'm ready to move on without him. We have needs on Defense that need to be addressed.
