Can't wait to see how much they overpayed him.

What does this mean on the Taylor? That more likely he will be a Phin next year (since they're improving or trying to improve), or is he replacing Taylor.

Re: Dolphins sign Calvin Pace

Seems like half the free agents signed today are now Dolphins, lol. I'm surprised they could get all these huge contracts worked out just since midnight:D:rolleyes:

means our divison has gotten better in a hurry with both the jets and fins signing useful players today.

Re: Dolphins sign Calvin Pace

We can sit there and say overpaid but there improving their teams.
We need to do something but retain our best gunner on special teams.
I really wanted Pace.
Now unless we bring in a Briggs, Haggans, lito, jason taylor i'm a little shocked.
It was last year damn't.
Before hand i was use to doing nothing in free agency then the one year we land Colvin.
Last year was like christmas over the offseason but now it's like that kid who has all the cool toys and his parents have credit card debt and it all get's repossessed that's kinda how I feel about now.

They still need QB's...

Edit: Sorry, I meant to say "They still need good QB's"

I can't believe Pats fans are shaking in their boots because the Dolphins signed Calvin Pace. That's high comedy for ya.

I don't think anyone is shaking in their boots, but he would've filled a nice hole for us. Hence the premise of the thread.

Re: Dolphins sign Calvin Pace

Pace was a contract year 'wonder'. The Dolphins just dropped a ton of money on a big gamble.

Again, I don't think it's as big a gamble as with most contract year overachievers, given the new coaching staff and change of position.

Re: Dolphins sign Calvin Pace

The plot thickens.

Re: Dolphins sign Calvin Pace

Damn't not the jets all my nightmares are coming true, BB should pull a meet the parents and intercept, Pace on the plane and get on his knees open up the case to show a superbowl ring.

as much as I dislike Tuna, he knows his stuff...

What's your excuse for his tenure under McGinnis?
