Looks like there decision not to is going to bite them in the ass..BIG TIME!

Re: Ok Pats, time to sign Moss... seriously...

Nothing has changed. I will not lose sleep over what John Clayton is saying. I'm sure the front office has given this some thought. Moss may be in Italy on vacation for all we know. Wait until you hear something from Moss or the Pats.

Re: Ok Pats, time to sign Moss... seriously...

The only thing I will compare this to, is Deion Sanders signing with the niners for 1 yr , then going to the cowboys.. Only thing is that the niners won the super bowl...

Moss will be a Patriot by the end of the weekend, but its taken alot longer than we thought..

Re: Ok Pats, time to sign Moss... seriously...

The biggest or second biggest contract of his life and you think he might be in Italy?

Come on guys. With or without Clayton's reporting, there is no way to interpret anything that's happened as pointing to good news. He still may sign here, but he's a true free agent right now.

Sometimes a walking boot really means a guy is hurt. This one is not complicated.

Re: Ok Pats, time to sign Moss... seriously...

We know nothing.......we can think we know, but we don't know, we haven't a clue.

When you read the deal is done....then you'll know.

I think it will get done.........but, NFL Network & Schefter just said he may be on to be visiting other teams (7:00 PM Friday).

Re: Ok Pats, time to sign Moss... seriously...

This is really similar to the Deion situation with SF and DAL. I hope the Colts don't break our hearts though, that team doesn't have a salary cap it seems. If anything, hopefully Moss signs with some anemic NFC team.

Maybe, the Pats didn't franchise him because it was too much money.

Re: Ok Pats, time to sign Moss... seriously...

agreed, but can we please just have ONE randy moss thread?

If he wants more than $7 million he can take a hike.
Superstar WR who was negated down the stretch by thw weather and defenses ... not worth the $$$. Give me some comp picks to add to what we have and reload the team with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd & 4th round picks.

I don't know if I agree with this or not. But if this is, in fact, Belichick's and Pioli's reasoned decision, they I do know I agree with it.

He deserves every penny he gets.

People seem to forget the 11 TDs after the Bye Week and one that should have won the Super Bowl.

Seriously have people looked at his 2nd half numbers, the way they talk you'd think Randy fell off a cliff. In the last 5 games of the regualr season he averaged 80 YPG and had 7 TDs, those are All-Pro numbers over the stretch he supposedly "fell off".

Its sad, I went to Marshall with Moss and had the privilige to watch him and Pennington play on Saturday. I was absolutely thrilled when the Pats signed him because I knew him and Brady would shatter records.

That said, I'm puzzled why McDaniels didn't involve Moss in the playoffs and even more puzzled why they haven't resigned him.

Re: Ok Pats, time to sign Moss... seriously...

I'm starting to get worried. When they didn't franchise him, I assumed that a deal was already worked out. If they didn't have a deal arranged, they should have just franchised him.

Part of me still hopes that this is part of some convoluted plan, where the Pats, by leaving Moss out on the market, force teams to weigh the possibility of signing him, thus keeping them from making other moves that they want to make. Realistically, though, I know that there's really no way that that's the case.

But, as others have noted, there are no reports of Moss visiting with other teams. I, at least, won't start panicking until he does, and maybe not even then.

In any case, FBN, to note your post in another thread, you get comp picks for the following year's draft (this year's FAs earn 2009 comp picks, not 2008).

Everyone wait for Chris Carter and not John Clayton to break the news.

When Moss gets a deal done it will be his former teamate, friend and new ESPN commentator Chris Carter that breaks it.

Yeah but the cold-weather killed him man.

Remember the Buffalo game? 4 TDs in the first half of the game, but what happened in the second? Come on Randy.

COMCAST Celtics halftime report update just said Moss is willing to listen to offers from other teams. WHAT??????? I am freaking out now. It should never have gotten to this point. This is killing me, 10 mil a year is NOTHING for this guy.

No, it isn't the weather, Moss played at Marshall and in Minny where he went to GB and Chicago twice a year.

Honestly, they stopped throwing Moss the deep ball and didn't send him over the middle. Our offense got ultra conservative after the Eagles game.
