are you saying we should get him ,bulk and teach him his new position and hope he can block 300lb gaurds ?>
Clark Haggans might be going to the NYG per rotoworld:

One name I do keep hearing as a possible guy somewhere down the line (maybe next week?) is Steelers LB Clark Haggans. Someone familiar with the Giants' thinking has told our Paul Needell Haggans is one of the backup plans to compensate for the loss of Mitchell. We'll see if that pans out. There are a couple other LBs out there who could come at a reasonable price, so I'd expect the Giants to go hunting for this year's Mitchell -- a solid veteran who can step in and compete with Gerris Wilkinson for the job on the weak side.
Actually the Giants MIGHT PURSUE Haggans. Here is an excerpt from the article Rotoworld is citing:

Rotoworld also says the Pats are interested.
As for Briggs. Pass. He doesn't like the 3-4. He doesn't think he will fit the 3-4. He is more suited for the Tampa 2. Too much money for a guy who doesn't like or fit our system.
they better sign somebody all of our playmakers are leaveing, Samuel, Moss, Stallworth, Gaffney, Gay
Even if we had signed Thomas he would not have cost even 1/10 as much as Briggs....
