as per herald.

Oh no BB has his idea on a tightend at 7, or on the plus side this could be bringing alge crumpler to new england.

didnt someone say he was injured or needed surgery?

I dont understand what the hell this team is going to do next year. I guess they feel Spach is adequate.

Maybe they could sign Daniel Graham as a free agent.

Oh, yeah...

Nevermind.

He had a $2 million salary (thanks, AGAIN, to Miguel).

I guess they felt they could probably get him back cheaper.

maybe their going back to the 2001 route and say forget about talent and stars, and keeping guys that really love football?
you figure it out then

Not surprised. The guy had a $3 million cap hit with a $2 million base. Too much for blocking TE.

Ah, maybe he's done. He is old, and while he was outstanding over the first part of the 2007 season, he dropped off after the injury. Maybe the injury is still effecting him, and at his age he's thinking about retiring? I know he was thinking about retiring before the Patriots came calling last year.

Also, this puts them at around $24M under th cap. Don't go by Migual's current figures, they are wrong. J. Kraft said they were $22M under the cap, just the other day.

Dude, free agency just started. Chill out already.

I'm starting to worry a little bit.

Because they cut Kyle Brady? The only thing that surprised me about this move was that he wasn't cut before free agency.

Personally, I take this as a positive that potentially they are freeing up money to make some moves.

it comes at an awkward time....

so whos our block tE now???

maybe they are making space for moss

We have Spach and Dave Thomas did a decent job of blocking his rookie season. I don't think K. Brady is worth what we were going to pay him especially since he contributes very little as a receiver.

Same thing went through my head as well, but they already had $22M in cap space, so I don't really think they needed to make room to sign Moss. Maybe if they wanted to sign some other key free agents, and Moss. Really, they have enough cap space to sign Moss, Calvin Pace, all their picks, and a mid level CB via free agency. That's if they want to...

Thank god ... i am done with crap of using blocking TE like graham and kyle. when they are in the field their is a 80% chance its a running play or gives away the protection scheme. last year you could tell when they are going to run or throw most times due to all the player rotation and packages.

time to get some decent TE to keep the defences guessing.
