It doesn't sting anymore. Maybe I'm in one of the middle denial stages.

I feel happier, I feel excited for next year, free agency, watching the combine was fun, I'm anticipating the draft... Maybe baseball coming up helps too because I'm looking forward to that.

It was a great year, with a disappointing ending. All we can hope for is maybe a few more before Brady retires, and hopefully that is not for another 9 or 10 years...

just don't look back or you'll get sick again. look forward to the draft because that's where it's at

i was over the loss the day after the game. Yea it sucked we didnt go undefeated but the goal is to win the SB and we didnt get it done. But knowing how kick arse our team was this year and we got about 7 more years with Brady, BB, and Moss i like our chances at winning a few more. If we dont win anymore by the time all those guys retire then ill be devestated.

I just watched the AFC Championship game and it made realize how much fun this season was until the end. It was a special year regardless that they didn't win the Super Bowl. I agree, now I have nothing but positive memories from watching the 2007 Pats play.

Will never be over it until Feb 1st 2009

I think I'm over it and then some idiot on sports radio, espn, or SI says something stupid to get me all cranked up again. I never thought that people could be stupid enough to buy into all the BS perpetuated by the sports media, but it's really ridiculous, especially here in the DC area. Then of course I get to remind all the haters about that wonderful team called the Redskins. :)

I'm glad you're all over it... that gives me hope, because even my best day gets dampened when I'm reminded of what happened earlier this month.

I'm 88% over it.

that last 12% is gonna be a killer

In all seriousness, I think I move on, but then Ive been tuning into nfl network, and been seeing the td pass to moss, and then get sick of how close we were again to chance to be forever..

It wont happen for me until Feb 1st 2009, because that is the only way to take away the pain .. a Super Bowl championship

NFLN actually helped me get over it when I watched the replays of America's Game for the 03, 04 seasons. That was about a week after the SB, and helped me get past that loss.

I just tuned in to NFL Network like 3 days ago .. It really doesn't help that I live in NYC .. :bricks:

Atta boy. I reach to the Patriot Championship DVD archives and relive the good times...yes, the good times.

I watched the combine and am looking forward to the draft...but I couldnt watch TV or even go on the web for about 2-3 WEEKS! I felt like I got kicked in the nuts! Every time I see those god dam Miami Dolphins guys its gonna make me wanna pick up a gun and go POSTAL...GRRRR. You younger guys dont fully appreciate it yet, you are USED to winning titles,etc... To those over 40, you know what I am talking about. I might have to find my way into Mercury Morris' neighborhood by myself and scare so senior citizens.....

I'm still not over the loss, but I'm not as bummed out. I've been playing a lot of Madden.

My thing is I just want to fast forward to January 2009 already. We have the team, regardless of who we get or lose this offseason. We just have to win the final game.

As a fellow DCer, if I end up keeping only one recording from last season, it will be 52-7 :D:D:D

Yep. Listen, these are the glory days. One day, when we're old, we'll look back on these years and talk about how unbelievably amazing the Patriots of the Brady/Belichick years were, how they put up records and won Super Bowls and brought football to its pinnacle here in New England. They may win more Lombardis after BB and TB are gone (let's hope so), but these years - even if this group doesn't win another title - will be fondly remembered by all Patriot fans. No shame in that at all.

congrats on healing. you're a week or so ahead of me. i was just thinking this morning that it's almost a full month now and i'm ALMOST ready to think about the game or discuss it with a non-pats fan, but not quite.
