Went to a Rutgers/Cinci basketball game last night given that my gf is a Rutgers alum. Figured it would be an opportunity to get away to a sporting event where I didn't have to hear about the SB. Boy was I wrong.

No more than 5 minutes into the game, it gets announced that "Sean O'Hara is in attendance tonight." Of course during halftime they have him stand up, introduce him as "Super Bowl 42 champion" which prompted me to let out the only boo in the crowd. Wanted to go up to him and ask how it felt to be such a big part of history. My exact words would of been "Sean, without that hold on Richard Seymour, none of this would have been possible!". Interested to see what his reaction would have been.

Anyways - i think God is punishing me for deciding to live in PA/NJ instead of my rightful home (MA).

LOL!! That is really Funny

My guess is that when you got face-to-face (or, likely, face to barrel chest) with him you would've thought better of the idea, anyhow.

Don't be a poor sport... Giants outplayed and outcoached us on that night....it's as simple as that.

While I feel we woudl beat that team 99 out of 100....we sure didn't make the plays we needed to on that night.

I think he should have went right up to him and called it a fluke.

Like LDT? UGH I like to make fun of teams that talk but can't muster... this time they mustered and we can't talk!

Man I feel really sorry for you.

You can say that again........my company had a NY Giants celebration pizza party two days after the SB......I stood outside the conference room holding a "Seymour was held!" sign........

Should have told him that the game is now referred to as Fluker Bowl 42.

Hey...I kind of like the sound of that.

What a fantastic way to get under people's skin.

even if you don't mean it, just say it one time with me:

"Fluker Bowl 42"

feels good.

The Giants won. Everything else is just whining.

Didn't you guys (this board) have a sticky that had all the ready made excuses that Colt fan would use when posting about why they lost? Anyone have a link? I'd like to read that again. That was no more a hold than about 99% of the non calls in the NFL every single game.

That is about the saddest, most pathetic thing I have ever heard of a fan doing. I imagine that you are the subject of some behind the back snickers around the office right about now.

You, sir, are absolutely right! Thank you. A fan I admire.

LOL, Exactly!

At the very least O'hara would have laughed at him and said "I'll take it"!

Right on, brother! I'm a Charger fan and didn't like what LT said. Chargers lost, take it like a man, do something about it next time....if you can (turns out the Chargers couldn't).

Umm, I haven't heard anyone refer to it as the "Fluker" bowl. Pretty stupid if you ask me. A fluke would be if there was a fluke play or something (i.e. the immaculate reception, holy roller, immaculate deceptions, etc.). But I am glad you are feeling better, time to get over it.

Wow, talk about sour grapes. Give the Giants their due, they outplayed and physically manhandled the Patriots in the Super Bowl. The Pats probably beat the Giants 9 times if they play them 10, but on that day, the Giants were clearly the winner on offense and defense. Sean O'Hara didn't hold any more or less than the Patriot offensive linemen.
I admire you, maam, as a fan. Plus I had the hots for you when your family was on TV! Grrrrr!
