I was poking around Wiki and noticed this in his Ast. coaching Bio.

Assistant coach
Prior to coaching the New York Jets, Mangini worked for the New England Patriots under Head Coach Bill Belichick, first as their defensive backs coach (2000-2004), and later as their defensive coordinator (2005). Before that Belichick gave him a job as an assistant in the Cleveland Browns organization (1995). Mangini was part of the Baltimore Ravens' inaugural staff in 1996, where he was a quality control/offensive assistant coach. From 1997-1999, he worked with the Jets as a defensive assistant/quality control coach. That was also when Belichick was assistant head coach/secondary coach.

Well, I got curious as to what a "Quality Control Coach" is and I came across this.

"Landry also was the first to employ a coach for quality control. Ermal Allen would analyze game films and chart the tendencies of the opposition for the Cowboys in the 1970s. That gave Landry an edge in preparation, because he knew what to expect from his opponent based on down and distance. Now every NFL team has a quality-control coach, and most have two."

It kind of makes you wonder just how far back this REALLY goes. We already know Mangini had to be involved in taping with NE, but could he have been involved with it while with the Jets in his previos tenure. I'm sure this has been brought up before but I probably missed it.

It's just unbeleivable what a rat-fink bastard he really is.

PS-Sorry for the spygate rant. I know I'm going to get roasted by a few in here.

I didn't know he was with the Ravens.

it really is

He is the ultimate B@tch of the whole NFL.
He's a diabolical caniving backstabbing ungrateful,
piece of crap who would actually step over his own mother for a dollar left on the ground.
MANJUDAS- Is the name that this fan will forever associate him with!
I hope one day someone destroys the little credibility he has left as he has attempted to do to his mentor, teacher role model father figure.
What a POS!

Is it safe to assume (I should know this but alas, I don't) BB got him the job with the Ravens as well, considering who the Ravens coach was?

Now that's what I'm talikin' about!

Well here's something to look forward to next year. The greatest historical thrashing of all time never came to fruition in Foxboro because of the weather last December.

Here's to hopefully a home game against the Jets in September and the ass kicking of their lives.

It was Ted Marchibroda, and yes it is likely he stayed on when BB was fired and Cleveland became Baltimore.

I'm sure BB gave Marchibroda the recommendation on Mangini.

BB's first Head Coach in the NFL was Marchibroda.

There's nothing curious about that fat toad, who has no loyalty to no one, who would stab his own mother in the back if it got him ahead in his job. Manweenie is a poor mans Herm, and the RATS think they have the second coming of our coach with him. My blood pressure goes up just thinking about that bastard.

Yes, I know it was Marchibroda. That's why I said "considering who the coach was", and considering BB's history with March.
