The only problem with that is Miguel says he hasn't added in the earned incentives from last year which could knock it down to $15-$20M.

* Hobbs - maximum escalator amount unknown

True, but wasn't that was what the Eckel funny-money was about? Off-setting that? In which case it'd be accounted for. Maybe I never quite wrapped my head around that...

It is. Especially how big FA signings can be structured favorably for the first year or two. Still, with that drop and Moss undoubtedly going to take big money it's more than enough but not an overwhelming amount.

Based on that wording I am assuming our cap number will be higher (based on the Eckel maneuver) than he's listing now which would offset the previously mentioned incentives. I may be reading this wrong, however Eckel's number was officially a LTBE bonus so there's a good chance that will all even out.

I imagine that the LTBE/NTLBE counter eachother. And even if Eckels savings has already been factored there would prolly still be others.

Looking at Miguel's page, is Harrison at any risk of being a cap casualty if they find any safeties that they like in free agency or the draft as he is in the last year of his contract, his signing bonus amortization is down to a single year, so it is a constant, and the cap savings would be 3 million. The only other two players with significant net cap savings space available would be Matt Light and Kevin Faulk, and the Pats will not cut either of them.

Given that Harrison accepted a pay cut last year, I think that the obvious answer is "yes" (at risk, I mean, not certain or even probable as a cut).
