Day one linebacker? Be still my heart.

still not gonna happen

Second Round: Jonathan Goff, ILB, Vanderbilt.

There is no doubt in my mind LB is going to be a huge part of this offseason. I would not be surprised to see a couple free agents and a couple of draft picks.

In the past they had the roster filled with body's at LB and we wanted draftees but there wasnt a need. But they have shown LB to be to important thru the years for them not to stack it properly.

things could get real crazy in that position.

Lance Briggs, Calvin Pace, Demorio williams?
If we do draft Linebackers now I want 2 beasts, I want to see Groves, and the linebacker from purdue in a trade down, We might be able to trade down in the middle of the first round to secure Groves, and pick up the other linebacker with oaklands third.

Yeah, I'd like to see that too, RayClay.
Let's see...Colvin is gone...Tedy may retire...Junior????
Even dump a decent (as far as I know) prospect in Lua.
So we build around Mike(not getting any younger)Vrabel and
Adalius (is he grasping the bb d concept?)Thomas.

I think you're right Ray.
They'll draft a linebacker this time.

With the seventh overall pick in the draft :D I'm sure they could figure something out.

There isn't a linebacker of Willis' calibur this year, no matter when you pick. I am sure that the Pats will figure something out, I just doubt it will be at that position.

yea, but then again NO ONE on the giants team looked like a JAG in the sb...

Remember that "Day one" is only 2 rounds this year.

I believe we have 4 picks. Perhaps my info isn't up to date.

Don't we have SF #1, (lost our #!) Our #2, Oakland's #3 and Our #3?

You are correct. My point was that only rounds 1 and 2 are on Saturday (day 1) and now round 3 is on Sunday (day 2). So we may have to adjust our use of the term "day 1" when referring to draft picks (the Pats have 2 day 1 picks, not 4).

Oh, you tricked me, eh? I'm a victim of coicumstance.:bricks:

That Raiders pick is almost a 2 anyway you slice it.
