Roy Williams is overrated though....

how about number 7 for Demarcus Ware

Roy Williams can stay in Dallas and they can pay for his overrated @ss.

Roy Williams is a liability in pass coverage. You can have his overrated arse but I would not touch him with a ten foot pool.

are you people nuts. Yes Roy Williams is not an excellent pass coverage guy but I would probably trade our number 7 for their 2 first rounders straight up to pick up a quality pro bowl (albeit flawed) level safety who can start for us in the deal is an ABSOLUTE STEAL. Not to mention what of Williams ails that BB's coachin gcould remedy. This deal is such a steal I cant believe it is true if it was I would do it in a millisecond

I heard a rumor today that the Patriots were going to trade that pick to the Ravens for their 1st rounder and Ed Reed.

The voices only talk to me!

It was one of their #1s, not both.

i heard a rumor that the pats would trade all their 6th rounders for the next 30 years to the Cowboys for Marion Barber and all their 4th rounders for the next 30 years.

Yeah I wrote that one on the wall in the bathroom at the last public building you were in, so thank me for it.

oh shoot i read it wrong. still i think it would be a good idea to do it if BB felt he could coach up Williams to be strong in coverage

I heard a rumor that the Pats need LB's and CB's, not safeties, especially safeties that can't cover my grandmother.

I heard a rumor that we are trading our #7 pick for your grandmother! lol :)

(A) As someone put it, Williams can't tackle a player without trying to end his career. He's a walking suspension waiting to happen.
(B) As another person put it, Roy Williams might as well be wearing a neon sign that says "throw here."

In other words, I'd pass, too.

Don't the Patriots already have a league famous dirty playing safety that can't really cover? Do we really need a second?

I wouldn't touch Roy Williams. The Cowboys finally realized his lack of coverage ability in 2006-2007, and have been trying to make up for that lack of coverage ability by playing him in the box. They almost used him like a tampa 2 LB in some games. The idea of NE even being interested in such a trade is completely asinine. That's not even mentioning the fact that I believe he's dirty...

There is a reason Roy WIlliams has to horsecollar people...he always manages to get ran by.

He can stay in Dallas.

Not sure if this is a rumor of just someone repeating what Michael Holley was tossing around potential scenarios whereby we could trade with Dallas. I think his rationale was trading down to 21 and 28 was too far to go but he thought Williams and 21 might be a case of a player Jerry is down on who gets blamed for things that aren't his fault in Dallas might be intriguing to Bill. Michael certainly didn't present it as a rumor, more like a musing.
