6'2" 7/8 253 lbs. Ran a 4.51 at the combine. Played in Big 10 at Purdue. He played de in a 4-3 this year. Saw him absolutely torch PSU this year and thought he might be a late 2nd/early 3rd type of prospect. Scratch that now. That's first round talent. Don't think we take him at 7. But, if Denver wants to move up for S.Ellis. We could get him at 14. Get their nr.2. Then move up from their with our 3 to get a cb. How bout?

1. Cliff Avril - trade down to Denver.
2a B.Flowers - Va Tech - CB
2B J.King - CB - PSU
3A J.Goff or P.Wheeler.

Cliff Avril will most likely drop to the second round due to lack of size to play defensive end in a 4-3 system.

1. Best Cornerback available
2a. Cliff Avril
2b. Best Cornerback available
3a. Jonathan Goff
3b. Best Wide Receiver or Tight End available

Avril does have LB experience, which is a huge plus.

Hypothetically, if the Pats wanted Gholston or Groves, but end up losing out, they're not going to pack up their notes and go home -- they're going to look at other potential candidates for that position. Avril's a possibility for sure...

Seems like this is a good draft for cb's and lb's. Coupled with a high first 7 and a high 3rd. We have enough to wheel and deal. Can't wait to hear all of the other teams *****in and moanin about us on draft day as we re-stock a championship caliber team.

Shhh, he is a decent 2nd choice, but we just might be able to get Gholston. Always take a pass rusher first, a decent cornerback can be found in rd 2,3 or even 4(Samuel). We have even played with FAs starting at cb(Gay). Avril is a sleeper for sure.

I'm sure he's been on the radar all along.

I don't think he's worth a first round pick.

Look at the Purdue guys (Dustin Keller, Stanford Keglar, Cliff Avril), and look at their positions in a lot of the drills. Especially Keller and Keglar, who came in first in a lot of the drills. Purdue players seems to be very good athletes. I actually go to Purdue, but because of the shameful Big Ten Network, didn't get to see many of the games. So I really don't know that much about them. However, they all seem to be very well prepared for the combine, so I wouldn't put too much stock into their workouts.

Haha, maybe 3-4 LB's, but not 4-3 LB's. I'm a Bills fan, so all I hear about is the schmucks who want to draft Rivers or Connor at 11. The LB draft class (for 4-3 LB's) is terribly weak this year. Haven't paid as much attention to the 3-4 LB's though, there seem to be a lot of possibilities there.

There will be a decent amount of CB's taken in the first, from what it seems. Talib, DRC, McKelvin, Mike Jenkins, even Cason could be first rounders.
