The 2008 Schedule will probably be out in 2 months.. And since I cant wait for it to get here, to help ease the sting of losing the super bowl.. Why not take a stab at predicting the schedule for craps and giggles... Here go

Im only hoping the rumors of the Denver vs Pats game wont be in edminton I do think it will be the night game at Thanksgiving.. I think the leauge will make us open on the road against San Diego on Sunday night.. NBC will get the Indy game this yr, and Im going to think 3 out of 4 to be played on the road. to end the season..

My crystal ball is in the pawn shop, I'll get back to you later. :D

Re: Predict the 2008

I really want to get that San Diego game over with quickly.

They are dirty.

Re: Predict the 2008

haha

there's only 2 games on that list that won't have a decent drama angle the media can go crazy with (chiefs + seattle)

I will be shocked if the NFL doesn't "accidentally" schedule the Patriots for a west coast trip following a Monday night game.

The NFL wants parity.

Hey, if the NFL was smart, they'd be wanting another pursuit of perfection - led to record high ratings.

I didn't realize that the Pats are only playing 4 07 playoff teams. You could argue that Denver and Buffalo may be capable of making the jump but that still looks like a pretty easy schedule. I can easily see the pats going 12-4 or 13-3 next year.

or 16-0:).....

you're right, but the Deion Branch vs. Pats will be a side note

I'm expecting that, or a west coast Monday night game followed by a Sunday game @ Indy......

ESPN will turn in into a full blown one hour Sports-Center segment with dramatic music and over exaggerated quotes.

OK since my theroy is blown out of the water here we go with a second chance

Sept 7th NYJ 100 pm
Sept 14th at San Diego 830pm
Sept 21st Miami100 pm
Sept 29th at Seattle 820 pm
Oct 5th bye
Oct 12th at San Fran 400 pm
Oct 19th Denver 100pm
Oct 26 St Louis 400 pm
Nov 2nd- at Indy 830 pm
Nov 9th Buffalo 100 pm
Nov 16th at NYJ 400 Pm
Nov 24th Kansas City- 830pm
Nov 30th at Miami 100 pm
Dec 7th Arizona 100 pm
Dec 14th at Oakland 400 pm
Dec 21st at Buffalo 100 pm
Dec 28th Pitt 800 NFL Network

Probably means squat but its worth a guess

I'll take a stab at this, just to see how off I was after the actual schedule is released:

Sept 7th -- New York Jets 1:00 PM
Sept 14th -- @ Seattle 4:15 PM
Sept 21st -- Kansas City 1:00 PM
Sept 28th -- @ San Diego 8:15 PM (SNF)
Oct 6th -- Buffalo 8:30 PM (MNF)
Oct 12th -- Bye
Oct 19th -- @ Miami 1:00 PM
Oct 26th -- Pittsburgh 4:15 PM
Nov 2nd -- @ Oakland 4:00 PM
Nov 9th -- @ Indianapolis 8:15 PM (SNF)
Nov 16th -- Denver 4:15 PM
Nov 24th -- @ New York Jets 8:30 PM (MNF)
Nov 30th -- Miami 1:00 PM
Dec 7th -- Arizona 1:00PM
Dec 14th -- @ Buffalo 1:00 PM
Dec 21st -- St. Louis 4:15 PM
Dec 27th -- @ San Francisco 8:00 PM (NFL Network)

Sept 7th NYJ 100 pm
Sept 14th at San Diego 830pm

We opened with the Jets and Chargers last year so I doubt we will open with those two again this year. Also the Chargers were a prime time game last year so I bet CBS will want that game this year.

I don't care who where or when, as long as we don't open up with the phins and the mayor of perfectville, Mercury "white lines" Morris does the coin toss!
God I hate that guy.....

AMEN to that; that guy is a self-righteous azz, AND wasn't that good of a football player to boot.

But looking at the Pats schedule, I say just skip the season, give them a bye and watch them win it all.

19-0 here the Pats come!

I'm really bored...here's my thought (assuming I have CBS/Fox doubleheader weekend's correct)

1 vs KC 9/7 Kraft wants to open at home at 1:00
2 vs NYJ 9/14 Sunday Nighter?
3 @OAK 9/21 If week 2 isn't a night game, this could be with all of Oakland's additions
4 vs DEN 9/28 CBS late "national" game at 4:15
5 @SEA 10/5 Kraft wants away prime time games, here's one
6 @MIA 10/12 Still plenty muggy down there...
7 BYE 10/19 Three VERY long road trips before this and plenty of brutal competition after...
8 @NYJ 10/27 MNF game where it all began...
9 vs BUF 11/2 Two divisional games in a row after the bye (really 3), before the Colts
10 @IND 11/9 Sweeps week, CBS wants this game at 4:15 and they get it
11 vs ARI 11/17 Fox early game that goes to most of the populace
12 vs PIT 11/23 I smell "flex scheduling"
13 @SD 11/30 Thanksgiving weekend, prime time game on Sunday night
14 vs MIA 12/7 It'll be cold!
15 @BUF 12/11 NFL-N Thursday night game
16 vs STL 12/20 Fox Saturday game
17 @SF 12/28 week 17 west coast game is the NFL's subtle way of hoping the Pats don't get a bye so they can stick them with a Saturday home playoff game the next week...
