I don't want to key in on Moss ... I already did that. Brady's not getting any younger and he took a beating down the stretch this year. Can we realistically expect our offense to continue to feature the pass like it does or will we change some pieces or ideas and go more ball control?

I think we go a little more ball control without giving up running the ball by passing. I'm thinking even though he's no spring chicken Faulk gets in on more plays next year ... perhaps even being in the backfield with Maroney more often. On that same note Sammy Morris will also get alot of reps as a reciever out of the backfield.

Also .. perhaps 2 draft picks for RT .. one in the 3rd and one in the 6th.

What are your predictions for possible (if any)
changes to our offensive philosophy to keep Brady healthy?

I wouldn't be surprised to see BB use that 7 for an Olineman.

McFadden if he drops ... if not say hello to Clady.

What do you mean "keep Brady healthy?" He hasn't missed a start and he's been a starter for 7 years.

He got his ankle rolled this year after a sack, but it was a freak thing and he got sacked about 25 times in 19 games.

too bad they didn't think about trying this in the Superbowl:cool:

If you're counting sacks then you are missing the big picture. Brady got the snot kicked out of him the last 1/3 of the season ... he'll be missing starts soon if that keeps up. Brady's production fell way off in December because he was injured from getting knocked down all the time.

7th pick, if kept will be on OL, a LB, or a CB

Brady loves the 5 wide/shotgun alignment.

This is football, you realize, right?

The offensive line was battered and injured in the 2nd half of the season, and we were short TEs for much of it as well. Things held together until the last minute of the season.

You really think using our power running back as a receiver and focusing heavily on one position on the offensive line is the solution to keep Brady healthy? I don't get it.

Merely asking what might be done ... Brady's been the warrior for all his years here ... how much more can he take?

I hear we are going to run the wishbone.

The freaking Wishbone ...

Whatever happened to "HuskerFan" over here?

Jon Kitna was sacked like 100 times this season. Ask him.

What I feared during the summer would be sown by the 7-step drop, minimum protection, 15-yard patterns indeed bore bitter fruit in Feburary.

Downhill running, play-action passing, and dinking and dunking helped produce 3 SB championships, and what should have been a 4th in '06.

Ask Jon Kitna, and Marc Bulger, and Kurt Warner for their opinion of the QB-"friendly" systems of Mike Martz and, in '07, of BB/McD.

Unless we want to see Brady deteriorate into the aforementioned QBs, then BB needs to move forward to the past. Besides a change of our offensive modus operandi, we also need a re-evaluation of the OTs, another power back, RB/Returner Mewelde Moore, and a WR (or 2) who can make the tough, over-the-middle, chains-moving catches.

Sheer nonsense. Mankins stinking out the joint ≠ systemic failure

we also need a re-evaluation of the OTs

One's a pro Bowler, the other isn't and could be upgraded. Neither were a problem to the extent of needing immediate replacement.

another power back

Sammy Morris got injured. He wasn't killed.

RB/Returner Mewelde Moore

He does nothing that Faulk/Maroney don't do

WR (or 2) who can make the tough, over-the-middle, chains-moving catches

Wes Welker says "hi"

I dont know what you are watching. Brady got hit less than almost any QB in the NFL this year. This is the perfect case of if he gets hit 3 times in a game everyone is up in arms that he is 'getting knocked around' without realizing that all the other QBs out there are getting hit 10,15, 20 times.

1) The system also did not adjust for the OLmen stinking out the joint.

2) I think that Kaczur is in need of immediate replacement.

3) Is Morris 100% now? If he is, and Eckel can somehow show that he is more than just a STer, then this need is mitigated. At the very least, signing a UDFA power back for camp shouln't be out of the question, either.

4) He returns KOs. He should be signed if for no other reason than that.

5) I'm referring to bigger WRs who can run to the sticks, turn around and fight off defenders for the catch and a 1st down. Welker's catches are mostly the product of being in motion, or otherwise on the move. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, either.

There is no system adjustment for "Best guard in the NFL has turned into a turnstile made of quivering Jello during the biggest NFL game in more than 30 years".

2) I think that Kaczur is in need of immediate replacement.

The RT situation was good enough for 18 consecutive wins, twice in the past couple of years, as a matter of fact.

3) Is Morris 100% now? If he is, and Eckel can somehow show that he is more than just a STer, then this need is mitigated. At the very least, signing a UDFA power back for camp shouln't be out of the question, either.

I expect the team to bring in running backs to camp no matter how much they like the current group.

Hobbs returns KOs, as does Maroney. The team doesn't need Moore unless they are replacing Faulk.

Welker was the best 3rd down receiver in the NFL last season, as I recall. Asking for someone else to take his place is redundant and taking a step down. However, I hear Keyshawn is thinking of returning to the NFL.
