I know it takes two first round picks to sign a franchised player, but does anyone think its possible the Pats would offer a first rounder to a disgruntled franchised guy.
I'm thinking mostly about Suggs. He's young, and you probably wouldn't pay him that much more in guaranteed dollars (I could be wrong here) than the 7th overall pick, but you're getting a player that you know can play, and fills a big need.
From Baltimore's perspective, no one's going to give them 2 firsts, but maybe one would do if they're having a hard time signing suggs, and see a player that they think they can replace him with at 7.
Any thoughts?
