Every day gets easier but just when you think your over the loss something hits you and your back to square one, like when you realize the Junior Seau is not getting a championship ring but Eric Gagne is! damn life is not fair

Who says Seau is done? Odds are this team ends up in a position to compete for the SB next year again.

I do think it's weird that ever since these guys very near retirement decided to come here for thier shot at a ring (Flutie, Seau, Vinny) they haven't won it.

Just pointing it out. I feel bad for them.

Piggybacking championship teams rarely works.

But hey Seau isn't done yet, I really just can't seem him ending it on the note he did.

think about how people who have fought for this country are living under the bridge or sleeping at a homeless shelter. think about how many children die of an illness or get kidnaped molested before being murdered. then relize that you should move on from a football game

I realize our "loss" isn't as important as the world situations, but it still doesn't mean it isn't hard to deal with in it's own way, especially after the magical season up to the Super Bowl.

It was effen joke, moron, I see that your from Fargo, ND so maybe I'll put disclaimers on future posts to allow you to keep up!

Older Patriots fans may remember Dr. Smith
from "Lost in Space"
When I see these pain posts I hear Dr. Smith...

"Oh the pain, the pain"

Okay, I love Junior Seau, I really do. and I want him to come back, and I'd take him at 40 over most of the guys half that old. But he needs to get a ring before minerals begin to slowly replace his soft tissue and they have to tell his age by the decay of carbon in his system.

a bit dramatic aren't we? Sure, all know that there are pretty bad world issues going around that are much bigger than the game of football, but if there is even just one place where it may be appropriate to whine/sulk/renew self pity about football don't you think it would be a football team messageboard? Let's not forget what site you are on.

I dunno 40 year old Linebackers having to fight off linebackers every play is kind of a scary thought.

In our sports world that we as fans live in, its very dramatic, its not as bad as 2 weeks ago for me, but its still hard to listen or watch NFL network... But I do agree in the real world its tough to compare.. Im very lucky in life and grateful for what i do have, roof over my head, food on the table.. But again as a die hard sports fans, this one will be very tough to get over...

It's going to be alot harder for Boston Red Sox fans because you know Yankee fans will remind them every time the Sox and Yanks meet this summer as well as every summer until the Patriots win one again. ;) As a Yankee fan, I still haven't gotten over the 2004 ALCS choke (Yanks choked without a doubt). At least the Pats didn't choke considering it was a well-played Super Bowl. The Giants beating a Boston area team sure made me feel alot better, but the Yanks will forever be soiled in my eyes after that collapse. Winning the Super Bowl should cure some of the pain, but 19-0 is once in a lifetime. You'll never be able to get that back.

We'll see.
