Jim Kelly had some choice words for our Head Coach.

If you were to ask me this question about halfway through this season, I’d probably would (have been) pulling for the Patriots,’’ Kelly said during a press conference Monday night prior to the Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame banquet at the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. ‘‘But the more Bill Belichick talked, the more it made me pull against them.

and:

Bill Belichick almost got to the point, from my standpoint, that he thought he was so much better than everybody else. I don’t care about ‘Spygate,’ that doesn’t bother me. It’s just the person in general. I have other issues that I know about that we don’t talk about.

My whole thing is when does BB ever talk about himself? When does he ever flaunt anything? I think our former USFL star is just getting caught up in anger and letting his perceptions getting his better judgement. In my opinion, he sounds like one of those Chargers or Steelers fans complaining how the don't like Brady because he has such "a smug look" to his face.

The perception of BB from afar is astonishing, he probably could use a good PR firm about now.. the reality is that BB hardly ever talks, maybe he means his lack of talking turned me against him.

This whole thing is approaching mondo bizarro, quickly.

Sounds like he meant to say "If you had asked me this question after a Patriots Super Bowl victory, I would have been sucking Belichick's **** like there was no tomorrow!"

hes a 4 time superbowl looser enough said

is this ANOTHER spygate thread??????????????????????

Hardly surprising when you consider that he broke down the K-Gun Offense and they subsequently never reached the pinnacle of success.

I'd bet his issues revolve around the Pats scoring almost a 100 points on the Bills in two games.

And, of course, the old "I know something you don't and you'd know I'm right it you knew what I knew". Yeah, whatever - he's probably just upset about the 56 we dumped on his team in Buffalo this year.

Halfway through the season?

Huh?

What did Belichick say after the midpoint of the season?

And it can't be running up the score on the Bills.

Because Kelly used to destroy teams.

"Kelly said one of the highlights of his career was the Bills’ 51-3 victory over the Los Angeles Raiders in the 1990 AFC Championship Game, a contest in which he directed a flawless no-huddle offense that exhausted their rivals from the West Coast."

Whatever, Jim, you lost in the Super Bowl, first of four straight SB losses.

Wait a minute.

Disagree with what he says, but Kelly was one of the greatest to play the game, IMO.

Four straight Super Bowl trips? Complete domincance of the ehtire AFC for a four year span? That is unheard of. Yes, the Bills had some great players and he was certainly one of them.

3 of the biggest overated QB;s of all time

Jim Kelly

Troy Aikman

Steve Young...

3 Underated QB's of all time

1 Ken Stabler

2 Phil Simms

3 Bernie Kosar.

I would take all three overrated guys over the underrated ones any day of the week.

Jim Kelly was helped by a Thruman Thomas

Aikman never had great stats, although he was a very accurate QB, but was not healthy all the time

Young, I thought was never good, the system made him... He won one SB, great, but he was not as great as people made him out to be..

I highly doubt Jim Kelly is jealous. I think the he just doesn't like BB as a person. I know this will come as a shock to most Pats fans, but outside of Boston, BB isn't very well liked. Most people think he is a conceited, pretentious jerk with a "F the world" attitude. Kelly does a lot of charity work, sets up golf tourneys and charity organizations all over NY and Pennsylvania. Brady and Seau (as the article mentions)I know for a fact have both been in Buffalo to support Jim's charity events. Maybe BB said "no" to Jim and rubbed him the wrong way... who knows. But I don't think it has to do with jealousy.

Now, if the "other issues that we don't talk about", happen to be about the 1990 Superbowl... I will be very disappointed in Jim. A topic that has been brought up on talk radio around the Buffalo area is that "What if BB cheated in the '90 Superbowl when he was on the Giants staff?" Even with my Bills homer glasses on, this is ridiculous to me. In Dec. '90 we played the Giants in NY and won 17-13... then in January we lost to them 20-19, running the no-huddle and Jim Kelly calling the plays. Pretty impossible to cheat, and pretty unnecessary with OJ Anderson running the ball. If this is what Jim meant.... I'll be disappointed.

Yeah, exactly. He would be a big hypocrite if he was POed about running up the score.

The difference between Jim Kelly and Bill Belichick isn't charity work. They both do that, although apparently Kelly enjoys getting the credit more than Bill.

The difference is that obviously Belichick doesn't care about being liked as much as Jim Kelly does.

I think Jim Kelly needs to talk to Jim Brown before he makes such stupid comments on someone he doesn't even know.
