Walsh claims he was part of "game planning" and part of Super Bowl 31, among other things.

If this goes to court, the Pats will roll this guy.

And they can start with "member of the Springfield College golf team."

I think its time for Matt Walsh to put up or shut up, i will take the latter...

Does anyone know the website or the golf course where Matt Walsh works?

Springfield College said it had no record of Walsh having been a member of the golf team.
And it's on his resume?? I heard something on another board about an incident IN Springfield....I wonder what that is about...

Sounds to me like a guy who had big dreams about moving up the coaching ladder in New England, but couldn't cut it. Now it's all sour grapes. Perhaps Walsh thought his relative anonimity could fool the team into thinking he's possibly right.

Sounds to me like a pathological liar. If you've ever known one, you know that eventually people catch on because the lies start to catch up and then the liar has to move on.

The guy is a golf pro in Maui, for Pete's sake. What else do you need to know?

WOW.. I'd like to know for which "professional" hockey league he worked in. I'd also like to know if there is any truth to him supposedly training with the National Bob sled team in Lake Placid.

Walsh is SCREWED if this ever gets to court because its doubtful that any of the things listed there are truthful.

This is exactly why the patriots are not relenting on their insistence that Walsh be "truthful". How can they allow a guy to deliberately slander what had been (prior to the first Jets game) an upstanding organization and business model, valued at upwards of a Billion dollars, thereby costing them untold thousands of dollars in value? If he is doing so, he should be held accountable. That would be justice. He shouldn't be immunized against any ramifications of his defamatory actions, especially because of the fact that direct competitors of the Patriot organization WANT these allegations to be true and don't care if they're not. Not to mention the buzzards hovering around, hoping the Belichick carcass dies from the heat. All stand to gain from the demise of the current regime in Foxborough.

Does anyone have a link for where Holley is busting Walsh's lies? Just curious to read the article if there is one. thanks!:)

He reportedly graduated HS in 1994 and Springfield College in 1998. So any involvement he had with the Patriots back in the Tuna SB days (as well as his supposed involvements with bob sled teams and hockey teams and arena teams) had to have been some sort of summer jobs or internships. I would guess he is around 31. He seems to have landed in Foxboro sometime in 1999-2000 and was canned in January 2003. So his 10 years in football claim is at best disingenuous.

Holley just had to break off the football talk for a baseball interview, but he was about to probe why as an employee you would tape your conversations with your boss. His point was you would do it to in some way be prepared to take him down. He was mentioning that in football, unlike in other jobs, there isn't really an HR department function where you can go and claim for example your boss is not being nice or talking nicely to you... And it's true, when a coach is mad at someone's performance, the conversation usually starts with something like "hey, mf, what is wrong with you...". That is the culture in the NFL. And if you can't take the heat, you move along to a kinder, gentler line of work. So it's not a stretch to assume Matt was taping in anticipation of a dead end career, either to have something he could point to as the rationale for his lack of success or something he could perhaps one day or in some way use against the employer be blamed for it.

The fact that his existence and his claims were apparently not news to some in the sports news business, even though they basically ignored him for quite a while absent substantiation, would lead me to believe they knew he existed because he told them things about the evil management team at Gillette over a period of time while he was transitioning to the golf industry (where lots of mediots spend their free time) here in NE. The undercurrent of how Patriots management was needlessly hard on poor employees mantra has long existed among those who had issues with Belioli's information management policy.

He was also not an "area scout", according to Pioli.

Sounds to me his coaching career busted, so he ran away and did all he could do. Golf. Now he sees spygate, his bitterness is coming up and he is going after the Pats when their ripe for the picking. there is simply nothing else to it. If he KNEW all this time of these videos that are sooooo bad, why not do it until NOW? when at a time I could accuse Belichick of beating my mother and people would believe me. It's simple as this, Walsh is about to look like a douche bag or a genius.

I remember reading in one article that this guy is a season ticket holder. Deep down I am hoping that this guy is a fan and is secretly just setting everone up. When the time comes to reveal the tapes they will be of Easterbrook trying to bribe Walsh to "create" a story.

sigh.

I can only dream.
