Pats 1st - 13 & 3
- no perfect season. looking forward to 2nd round bye and at least one home game. And then of course the Super Bowl;

Bills 2nd - 9 & 7
- we will sweep them again but they will pickup 4 wins again from Miami and Jets. They have a better QB, a good Oline and if they add some WR talent that should get them 2 more wins than last year. Don't see 9 & 7 getting into playoffs though;

Jets 3rd - 5 & 11
- I have been saying it all along, Mangini's 1st year playoff appearance was a complete fluke. They have done a terrible job drafting and in free agency. Mangini is a poor man's excuse for Bellichik. He has no clue how to call a game, and thinks that gimmick plays are a substitute for coaching. Call me crazy again but I see this being Mangini's last year in New York;

Miami 4th - 2 & 14
Although they may have a better talent base for the future, their current roster after all the cuts of the last 2 years will have vitrually no talent. Taylor on defense, Ginn on Offense, and man that's it. I could see another nail-biting run at going winless. Couldn't happen to a more deserving team or GM.

So again it's hard to predict anything beyond Pats division dominance with no real competition, a marginally improved Bills team, continued decent into hell for the Jets and a Miami team having an awful record in yet another "rebuilding year."

i'd love another shot at a perfect season. It makes every game so much more intense having that all on the line. I wanna feel what it feels like to be 18-0 again.

I still don't see why people don't want us to win every game we can.

There's not one week I'm saying "Oh, well - let's just lose this one."

It's as if you think BB and the team can't handle being perfect. They did it damn well for 18 games and 59 min.

I'd take a 9 & 7 wild card appearance by virtue of 3-way tie breaker and then winning the super bowl over any other alternative that doesn't include the super bowl.

i don't want us to lose any game, ever. the purpose of this thread however was a realistic assessment at each team's record.

I think it's too early to predict any record. We still have to wait and see who stays and goes. We have to see who the Pats add through free agency and the draft. The funny thing is, despite their superbowl loss, the Pats will still be the team to beat.

Patriots will go 14-2 ... :D

PATS #1 14-2 bills #2 10-6 jets #3 7-9 fins #4 6-10

I think its way way too early for predictions... You need to wait till after the draft ... That is when the team takes shape... I do think the Bills will give us a run for the division next yr.. Miami will be better, and the jets will be a pain in the neck...

Barring injury, the Pats will start strong favourites for the AFC East, no matter what happens in FA and the draft. I would like us to add height to our secondary, re-sign Moss and get younger at LB.

I hope they crush the crap out of the colts.

would take something dramatically bad to happen to us for bills to challenge . i don't see how bills can improve enough on their own to challenge the existing pats team. also don't see how miami can be meaningfully better w/ all the changes and continued veteran departures. also don't see manboobs lasting beyond next season in NY

Generally agree with your predictions but think Miami will be better than 2 wins. They're not half bad on defense and now have an actual organization running the show that knows what players are needed and how to win.

==================================

I do not have a problem with your rankings at this point, although trying to predict next years win loss records is almost impossible this early in the off season.

For the record the Jets have drafted above average the last 2 years, they have been below average in FA, but I would not say horrible in FA. JMHO.

the only team I feel is being overvalued here is the Jets...yes,Revis and Harris are good young defensive players but what else about that defense is anything but mediocre? DeBusterson is a HUGE disappointment, Vilma is coming off injury and is unhappy with Ratgini's schemes, their front can be gashed and passed on and the secondary is mediocre with aging vets and practice squad castoffs like Poteat.

I can see the Rats starting off slow and going right in the tank by the end of October with the pressure on Ratgini mounting to the point where they decide to make a change at the end of the season. I'm certain that B.P. will take square aim at the Rats and look to finish ahead of them in the standings as a first step in the Miami rebuilding process.

The two N.E. games will be downright vicious, after what transpired this season. I can see a Patriots team that's very well motivated and focused to lay a beatdown both in Jersey and up here. I mean, how much motivation does a team need?

It'd only be fitting to see the Rats disintegrate and go into yet another rebuild, while that quisling Ratgini gets exiled to an assistant position with the Cardinals or some other bottom feeder.
