I think its time for the Pats to start pushing back. We have quietly sat here for 6 months while the entire league was allowed to take pot shots at us. The league has done nothing to protect us or stop the smear campaigns. So 'F' em all and start telling what you know about other teams.

They are coming out now, that's for sure. I think it's more what he has to say than what's on the tapes. If the tapes are more of the same this is a non-story. If it's something more incriminating then there will be a lot of questions that need to be answered. Regardless, the NFL and the Patriots fates are intertwined now. I don't think BB stepping down or being suspended is enough anymore. Goodell's nuts are on the line too...

this whole thing is being engineered by the NFL to stop the Pats. They thought they had a sure fire way of getting parody in the NFL and then the Pats became a dynasty and ruined the plan. just imagine if we would still have both first rounders, and we would have only gotten stronger. No I don't think so. The why now? question is important. I know the idiots from Profootballtalk knew about this back in September since they posted about a coming bombshell about the Rams SB. Obviously Walsh has this tape and leaked the info about it when Spygate broke, but he couldn't do anything at the time because the NFL and the Pats would sue his a**. That's why these interested parties (the slimebag media and Walsh) acted behind the scenes to drag Spectre into it so that there would be pressure to grant him immunity, but he wasn't about to make a fool of himself until the time was right. Spectre can hold all the hearings he wants on this issue, but even he can only grant Walsh immunity from criminal prosecution and even then Walsh would likely have to agree to tell the truth in a sworn deposition. That is not going to protect him from civil liabilities from the Pats.

There was a reason it happened at this time. I can think of no other one than
to perhaps extort something from the Patriots. When this was not possible, the
move to the 'veiled disclosure' approach was tried. When this failed, we now
have Harvey Whiplash involved to see if he can add some standing to the
extortion claim. Now that this is failing, innuendo and fear is being trotted out
to the insatiable media crack whores who cannot move themselves off the
Bill Belichick addiction. Has there ever been another sports figure who cared
less about the media and got more print? That must gall the media idiots to

Sorry can't read the article for lack of time but Goodell was on Football Night in America and several other news organizations after Spygate broke, he did not go into hiding and make himself unavailable to the press for 6 months, sorry that is a lame-ass excuse for this story breaking on the eve of the Super Bowl.

Walsh was at SB and somebody apparently recognized him and told him to come forward because why does he want to seek for protection NOW when he could have asked for it between 03 and 07.?

We will never know who this *somebody* is but i guess that this person is not happy with BB or Pats for some reasons.

I can tell you that this person works or worked for Patriots either directly or indirectly because you will NEVER know who Walsh is if you didn't work for Patriots.
