If MODS could sticky this. I'll try and update this as much as possible. I am on vacation now, but I'll update it once a day this week.

Zach Thomas MLB Miami Dolphins

Marty Booker WR Miami Dolphins

Ty Law CB Kansas City Chiefs

Terrell Suggs LB Baltimore Ravens

Nnadmi Asomugha CB Oakland Raiders

Chad Johnson WR Cincinnati Bengals

I've read rumors of some of this stuff, but I'm not really sure there is any conformation that these are Patriot targets.

rumored by who? this board or legit sources?

That's why it is called rumors.

I don't have a problem with someone like Thomas up there. But I think it would be more reasonable if we included players that have legit sources behind them. Not, "I think he'd work well in this system"

Agreed. Besides, Suggs has been franchised.

Thomas has his teams down to 4 according to Rosenhaus between Dallas, Indy, NE, San Diego.

It is from rotoworld.

That Raiders CB is a free agent? He will probably get franchised as well as Suggs. However, if both teams are dumb enough to not franchise them, I would be all over it.

Asomounga (sp) would be my favorite on that list.

the guy is awesome.

I just took a look at his stats. And these numbers stood out at me. First, he doesn't have many tackles. Second, he doesn't have many passes defensed. Third, he doesn't have many interceptions. So what does that tell me? Opposing teams do not throw to his side, they avoid him. I guess people are right when they say that this guy is one of the few true "cover corners". He is also 6'2'' and 210 pounds. That's a big CB! This guy is truely underrated. I would take him over Samuel.

Mewelde Moore - BB mentioned him in his pre-draft media meeting in 2004.

Not yet he hasn't. They are going to do it if they cannot sign him to a long term deal before the use of Tags deadline.

Oh, excuse me for jumping the gun. Either way he won't be available.

I heard we were going after

Zach Thomas
Ocho Cinco
2003 version of Ty Law
Arod
mini-Ditka
the ghost of Paul Brown

after watching him last year, i thought he was better than Samuel then. now after this season there is no question

i do agree with he is a great player but hes going to want the same money samuel wants and i think oakland will tag him and for some reason the pats dont move there coners left or right to cover the best WR so no reason to have a 10mil doller a yer CB i would take ty law for less money

As long as we are not going after:

The ghost of Eugene Chung
The ghost of Ed Ellis
The ghost of Greg McMurtry
The ghost of Max Lane
The ghost of Reggie Dupard
The ghost of Duane Starks

etc...

The Bengals have repeatedly stated they won't be trading Chad Johnson. I really don't see them doing it. Just because Chad Johnson wants a trade doesn't mean he'll get one.

WR Terry Porter of the Raiders
