Dan Connor has the football intelligence, awareness, heart, grit, athleticism that only comes around so often.
He is the poster boy for a Patriot Linebacker and one I think BB would be willing to trade down or back up for.
When BB interviews this guy he's gonna know right away this is the the linebacker he's been waiting to come out the draft.
Living in PA, I've got to see him play alot but what impresses me more.
When I met Paul Posluzny's family, his father raved and bragged about Connor like he was his own son called him special hardworking a athletic freak.
I know he had a bad senior bowl and that's gonna be great for some team it's no surprise he's fighting a knee injury which was hurting his point of attack on contact with lineman and backs.
The fact he got in perfect position to make that interception in the game reminded me so much of Bruschi this guy has that kind of fire and dedication and somehow someway he needs to be wearing the flying elvis.
I only hope buffallo doesn't draft him and have a Penn state linebacker reunion cause that will suck for us believe me!

To small to play 3-4 systom, hes built for the 4-3. imo

1. USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION. THERE ARE THREE THREADS ABOUT CONNOR ALREADY.

2. HE IS A MORON. I HAVE HAD CLASS WITH THE KID. HE IS IMMATURE. HE MAKES PRANK PHONE CALLS TO THE TEAMS COACHES.

3. HE IS ****Y. AGAIN, I HAVE HAD CLASS WITH THE KID. THINKS HE IS GOD'S GIFT TO THE CAMPUS, TO OUR WOMEN, AND TO FOOTBALL. NOT A PATRIOTS TYPE PLAYER.

how many times do I have to type this stuff? He is not coming here. I have seen every game he has played, and albeit he makes plays, he still would NEVER fit this system.

I don't doubt what you say but people do change, and so what if he thinks he's god gift to women and to the school, what do you think Moss, Stallworth, merriweather who made a song degrading women and BB still took him with a first round pick.
Your thoughts aside in all due respect if he can help us win a superbowl as long as he is not doing anything illegal or morally questionable I don't see the big deal about some prank phone calls, players on the Patriots such as Brady are known to be big practical jokers.
And being around the likes of Bruschi and Harrison would definitely straight out any maturity issues you say he might have.
I'm telling this board that all I heard from people who know the kid who watched him grow up say he is a great smart football player.

I'm telling this board that he had made prank phone calls to team coaches THAT GOT HIM SUSPENDED FOR a number of games. Do you think Brady would do that? I don't. I think Brady would pull a reasonable prank that is funny, not something that would lead to him getting suspended for violating team rules. I would say he was probably doing something morally questionable in that phone call.

I'm telling people on this board that I took an class called "math for elementary educators" with Mr. Connor, and he nearly failed it. Really. We studied probability and fractions. I'm serious. I took it because I needed to for my major (education), he nearly failed.

I guess it really isn't a problem that he thinks he is god's gift to women, that just kinda pisses me off. But that's beside the point. The fact of the matter is, I don't think he is smart enough to be able to play LB in our system, based on my interactions with him. It is a complicated system that takes many years to comprehend. I thought we might take Poz last year, but when that didn't happen, I knew for sure that we wouldn't take Connor this year. Poz was actually smart, a genius compared to Dan Connor.

Again, though, if BB sees no problem in him, neither do I. I just don't think it is even in our realm of possibilities at this point. But who knows. I could be eating crow in April.

BTW, I didn't mean to get so mad at you, I just don't understand why we can't have one solitary thread on each prospect. I feel the same way about all the Gholston threads; part of the reason I stay out of the Draft forum for the most part.

He stole your woman, didn't he? :(

To be fair I went to PSU with Connor too and he's not all that bad. I was at a party one time when Robbie Gould kicked a kid in the face because he was dating his ex-gf, every football players has a God complex in college the question should be can he play. Tony Hunt gave a speech in my Speech Com class about why Gay people are not evolutionary accurate as they cannot reproduce.

Connor is small, but he is instinctive and would be a bargain to me in the 2nd round. After the prank call incident there was little to no problem. Hell Justin King was in a fight this past summer that almost forced him off the team and people now on this forum are talking about him being a DB for the Patriots.

So as I was saying, gentleman let's leave the mother's out of it and focus on football.

Why do you say he's too small? He's 6'2.5". Yes, he's only 233 lbs, but I'd bet he could add that relatively easily.
