Projected 2008 NFL Salary Cap Space for Each Team

It is actually 2006 and it is the cash that the player received that year.

On that note do you have any thought on how the Chargers have so much space - I'm guessing they have a lot of guys deals about to come up and they are going to have to earmark some of this year's cap space for extensions?

Yea it'll be interesting to see what SP/BB have in plan for the draft...I still think they pick up another vet on defense through FA, but it hinges on what Seau/Bruschi decide to do...

Moss is still priority #1 for me, other needs can be filled in the draft. I agree about a vet on defense...if they have the space. If not, this offseason is all about going young.

With our recent successes in the draft, a lot of our young, reasonably salaried talent's contracts will be ending in 2009 & 2010. Expect us to spend most of our cap space on re-signing many of these guys early to diffuse costs. Don't expect us to make much of a splash in FA...it's not AJ Smith's way.

If those numbers are correct it looks like there could be a lot more talent
being brought into our division. PATs division foes can make a big dent in
FA this year. Look for this coming year to be very competitive in our division
if GM's play their cards right.

This may have been answered, but does the 2008 projection include the very large bonus payments that must be made to Kelly Washington and Stallworth to keep them from becoming free agents? I think it's safe to say that these will not be paid. Where would the Pats be without including those?

Miami just cut Trent Green... so they have got to be number 1 now.

Miami is gonna be making some serious moves this offseason with their number under the cap....its gonna be a completely different team. Should be interesting to see what BP does.

Probably going to rip more Cowboys from Jerry Jones... he seems to take pleasure in that.

lol Yea, and I dont think Jones should deal with Parcells for that #1 pick.... It's like making a deal with the devil....I just have a feeling Parcells will somehow screw him over with that trade and continue to get the last laugh.
