Welker Autograph Signing Yesterday

New England Patriots [team stats] wide receiver Wes Welker, sporting a Red Sox [team stats] cap, signing autographs at Macy’s in Downtown Crossing

I wonder if this autograph session was scheduled before the SB, and he couldn't get out of it. Either way, nice of him to still come out and meet/greet some fans.

He never does. Nor do the vast majority of the other players with weekly radio spots on sports talk. Brady's last scheduled spot was the Monday prior to the Super Bowl. Vrabel made a big point of stating his final radio spot was not even the week of the Super Bowl.

Yea, i mean does he really need to go on weei? He did have a press conference after the loss....im thinking he's in retooling mode and gearing up for next season which i am so pumped for!

They are all taking much needed time off - Getting away from the media has to be nice considering what they went thru this season.

But believe it, Spygate was not the motivating factor last season, it was the loss to the Colts and this team (whatever the makeup) will have a laser like focus in '08.

I've said it before, whomever suits up against this team in week one will be in for one helluva beating. It will be a massacre.

That video was great. It's amazing how much of a perfect fit Welker seems for the Pats. Then again, I have a hard time believing that a guy like Welker wouldn't be a perfect fit for any ball club. Much credit to whoever was behind the assault to snag this guy. IMO the most important signing we made last offseason.:rocker:

No, but it was probably just on-field trash talk. Either both sides were doing it to each other, or after hearing talk all game long, Welker finally gave some back after getting the game-ending reception.
