I've been all but unplugged since the SB; still can't believe it happened. One thing though: I came out of earlier SBs disliking the Rams, Panthers, and Eagles. I came out of this SB stung, but admiring the Giants. What a game! It was so much like the Pats of '01.

Wow, I just saw my signature line for the first time since the SB. Ironic in light of the Giants success.

Sorry...I hate the Giants even more...but a LOT of that is from 50 years ago when they were shoved down the troat of all in NE...no I do not like them..admire? Not even that...they had a great game.. but other than that, I could care less about them as a whole. Nice article though...but does it really matter??

Fascinating article, alright.

I've re-circulated it to my family.

Sorry, no interest at all in reading an article on him. Why would I want to read a "good article" on a guy who made a 1 in 100 play to beat us ? Is this a NYG forum now or something ?

Because you are a mature and rational adult with an interest in sports? Just saying. Or maybe you're a "fan boy"........

Look, I respect the hell out of how the Giants won, and David Tyree made a heck of a catch, but I'm just starting to put this stuff behind me. When I went to the SI homepage just now and it was a huge picture of Tyree, I had a sudden urge to throw my laptop across the room.

"Good" and "Tyree" don't go together well right now. Sorry. Especially on a Patriots board. The Visitors board might appreciate this thread though.

I also don't want to ready anything from the NY Times after they re-started spygate with dubious info. One of the best papers in the country to trash rag overnight.

How is it the NYT fault this guy came out? And how is it dubious?

My feelings exactly.

Saw some special on him finding God and that whole deal on Outside The Lines and just couldn't finish watching. Anything New York Giants right now makes me sick.

so what's wrong with celebrating a victory with a 40 of malt liquor, a blunt and a bottle of JD?

Are you serious? Has there been any support for anything they wrote other than innuendo? And what about the timing? Even the ESPN editor wrote that they knew about these rumours and had interviewed Walsh but refused to publish anything, that is until the NYT article came out including threats from Spectre of congressional hearings. The fact that they went forward with this on the limited info they had (which is nothing more than was out there in September) on the eve of the Superbowl was disgraceful.

Someone from the NYT must have saw something. They haven't printed a retraction yet, that I know of.
