I know everyone across the county is still celebrating our loss in the big game (thanks Mike Carey, have you coughed up the whistle yet?). But Colt fans after losing a playoff game to all world Billy Volek at the RCA Dome have nothing else to celebrate and are jumping on Eli's coattails as if he's actually a Colt and because his last name starts with an "M". That's embarrasing. Check out their forums.

it is because they are losers.

Really, how sad is it that your QB's LITTLE BROTHER won the SB instead of yours defending his title?

This may surprise you, but outside of NE's diehard fanbase, no one in the country is talking about officiating in the Superbowl.

After Pitt/Seattle, EVERYONE was talking about it, and it is still tainted to this day because of it.

But no one is talking about holding on the Tyree pass, because it didn't really exist.

It's quite pathetic when fans from other team have to live vicariously through another team like the Giants because of their own team's suckitude.

There is almost no discussion within NE's diehard fanbase about it either.

The only people claiming awful officiating it are pathetic whiners who give other NE fans a bad name.

no one is talking about the officiating because it wasn't blatently, horribly one sided in the same way it was in say, colts vs steelers or pitt vs seattle...but to say that there was no holding on that tyree play is utterly false. it's like saying that there was no OPI committed by toomer on hobbs earlier in the game. the unfortunate fact is that these calls/non calls happen in every game...your team gets some and they don't get some, it's the way of the game.

Fair enough. I have watched that play about 20 times at this point, from several different angles. To me, if there was a hold, it was definitely not blatant enough to call in the last 2 minutes of a Superbowl, when refs are particularly hesitant (as they were on the next drive, as there was holding going on for at least one of NE's last offensive plays).

On this board, I have seen ridiculous exaggerations about the so-called holding on the last play, including the idea that the ref could have called 2 separate personal fouls on that play, because 2 Patriots facemasks were being grabbed & pulled all over the place. That simply did not happen.

Been there, done that. All you read about at the DimStar is every other thread obsessing or bashing the Patriots. JC, you'd think they would want to talk about their own team, but they have a severe inferiority complex over there.

I take nothing away from the Giants, they beat us before that last drive in my opinion. They were hungrier and wanted it more than us, and in the end, that was the differnence. You deserved to win. But let's call it like it is. The Giants clearly were the beneficiary of the calls/non-calls in this game know matter how many times you re-watch the game. This cannot be argured.

Regardless, it's really sad when Indy fans have nothing else to cheer about after their embarrasing 1st round PO ouster at home, except gleefully celebrating and posting threads about another Manning owning the Patriots as if he actually plays for the Colts. How bad is that ?

Billy Volek is legally changing his last name to "Irsay" because...

he OWNS the Colts.

Not Tainted

Colt's fans are only happy because of the multitude of pats trolls they deal with over there, or USED to deal with. Come to think of it, the one pats fan whose screenname was 19-0 hasn't been back there since the Super Bowl.:D

Funny stuff.....

It works both ways.......

Us Colts fans have always rooted for Eli and was very happy to see him win a Superbowl, were not happy just because he beat the Pats, we would be happy if he beat anybody besides the Colts in the Superbowl. Trust me were not happy at all about choking away a big playoff game at home in the playoffs, that was just downright pitiful..

Your right it seems like every other thread is about the Pats on that board right now, its time for them to move on including me. What your reading on the star is the result of 5 years of us getting bombarded by trolls especially after we would lose a big playoff game, and there have been plenty of big losses, they would infest our board with garbage and now the trolls are just getting a little payback is all. I agree its starting to get insane right now though and its time to move on.

Hey Indy, you referred to the Colt playoff loss as a choke and pitiful; as a Patriots fan, you're preaching to the choir as we're in the same boat my friend, only ours is 1000 times worse................

I know it sucks and alot of Pats fans are feeling really low right now but on the bright side if there is one, the Pats were within 35 seconds of a perfect season, nobody may ever get that close again in our lifetimes. I know its a little consolation but the Pats are the only team that can say they went 16-0 in the regular season to.

I appreciate what you said, but your right, we'll never see a 16-0 team again (I know, never say never!), that what sucks the most I'm afraid. Two minutes, 42 seconds away from immortality; actually, they achieved immortality, THE WRONG KIND of immortality..................

It's funny in a pitiful way. You know your doing something right if the the whole fanbase of the NFL are hanging on to the hope the Patriots will lose.
