See below for decisions/questions to be made BEFORE free agency, and in the first day or two of free agency. Between these decisions, the combines and the first couple day of free agency, there is actually a lot to follow in the next three weeks.

1) Do we pay Washington his option, or release him?
2) Do we pay Stallworth his option or release him?
3) Who do we evaluate as top 10 STUDS after the combine?
4) Who will be offered extensions/restructures?
5) Who will accept extensions/restructures?
6) Who, if anyone, will be franchised, transitioned?
7) How much will we have under the cap on the first day of free agency?
8) How will we evaluate the depth at defensive back after the combine?
9) Who will the patriots re-sign in the first couple of days of free agency?
10) Which patriots will sign with someone else those first couple of days?
11) What will be the free agency list after the first couple of days of fa?

I think we all know what the questions are...

Thanks for putting them all in one place. Nice to see what will slowly take my mind off the loss...

IMO:
1) Pay Washington
2) Release Stallworth
3) Too early to say
4) Colvin will be restructured, I heard Brady might be.
5) Either of those guys, if offered, should take it I would think.
6) Moss, if they can't work out a deal.
7) A lot more than we have now, on account of releasing Stallworth and restructures.
8) I think secondary will be the #1 priority in the draft, although I wouldnt be at all surprised to see at least the first round pick used on a linebacker. I also expect us to make a bit ofa splash in the FA market with some more low-profile secondary guys.
9) Most importantly, I want to see Gaffney and Seau back.
10) Asante

I agree almost 100%. I don't think that we'll franchise Moss, but I was wrong last year. One of those low-profile seconday guys might be Law or Surtain. We brought in four wide receivers last year. I see the same emphasis on the secondary this year. With regard to a first round "linebacker", I agree, but he might be called a DE on the draft charts.

My most importantly includes Moss. IMHO, if we are not signing Moss, then we should keep Stallworth.

if we go for a LB he will be a DE who is too small to play DE in NFL which would mean he would actually be low rd pick.i actually think what we need is a tweener DT to play MLB.

Long, Gholston and Groves are all first rounders who would likely contribute in their first year. All are listed as DE/LB on draft lists.
