Well slowly some of the pieces start to come to light. though the most important ones will either never come out or at least won't for years I thought I would share one that could be minor or major depending on how you interpret it. This one is about the odd RED hoodie sported by BB on the sidelines at Super Debacle 42, and is brought to you by the guys over at Patriots Football Weekly (PFW) who said during their web radio show that in a big game with lots of extra crap going on on the sidelines the person (or people) calling in signals will wear red to make it easier for the players on the field to spot him between plays. They actually sounded a bit unsure about if they should be saying that on their show halfway through saying it, though I'm not sure why, if it's true I would think it would be known around the league.

so was BB directly involved in calling some of the defensive sets during the game and that's why he was wearing that jinxed hoodie? or is this just another bit of fluff? who knows, but those guys live inside Gillette all day so I'd assume they would have a little more knowledge about these things than the average joe....I'm not saying BB invites them into team meetings but they HAVE to hear random bits of stuff throughout the season as people wander around and chat.

Oh, if any of you PFW guys are reading this - I know Andy was here last week because he talked about the ESPN radio "we ain't making no stinkin adjustments" thread, feel free to chime in. I know you're all message board illiterate but it's not all that hard :p

Dean Pees was wearing his usual red too.

I had told my GF that when we were watching the game.

When BB was defensive coordinator with the Giants, he always wore the red jacket so it was easier for his players to pick him out of the sea of blue. So if he was going to be calling anything, it makes sense.

The red jacket/sweatshirt is no secret - but Pees was wearing red too.

I think Belichick is 0-for-whatever in the red hoodie. The games I can recall him wearing it are:

2004 @ Miami
2005 vs Indy
2007 SB42

Can anybody think of a game where he was wearing red and we WON?

Burn the red hoodie.

2003 vs Denver. The intentional safety game.

The question about his hoodie selection came up in the game thread during the first extended drive for the FG.

He wore red when it was rumored he took over the offense from Mangenius down the stretch in 2005, although Eric still wore a red shirt too. Just Bill's red was more vivid as was the hoodie compared to Pees shirt.

Bend but don't break. That's the D we play for any Aholes in this thread that don't recognize it.

BTW BB is probably in red because he's calling the D.

Red hoody is cursed? LMAO, guys... little red riding hood outsmarted the wolf in the end.

I blame it on the SI cover "Perfect Season's Greetings". The Patriots were doomed after that came out, it was just a matter of time. The SI curse always gets ya.... just like the Madden curse.

I blame "mumbles" Menino. :D

burn the M*T*E*F*C*E*, and maybe a phoenix will appear from it, build a time machine, tell BB not to wear it game day, and patriots will be 19-0

I'll tell you some games they lost with him wearing the ever sacred gray hoodie:
AFCCG vs Colts
2005 playoffs vs Denver Broncos
2004: 21 game win streak comes to an end in Pittsburgh

Now, don't you feel just a little silly?

Well he's won a ton of games with said hoodie so I'll take my chances.

Yea, but it's still pretty laughable to think that dumb hoodie had anything to do with the loss.

Way to hijack a thread that was delving into the significance of why he was wearing it, not whether it was bad karma...
