Eli Manning Jokes about BB

Unfortunately the team brought this upon itself by losing. We just have to deal with it now.

I thought this was very funny. Eli did a nice job on Letterman. I think he's a real nice kid. As much as I wanted the Pats to win, I'm happy for him. He's really nothing like his older brother. It will be interesting to see how he does next year after having so much success.

eli will continue to improve. unfortunately for new jersey, the giants are one and done.

Are you high man?
Yo do know this is the same Eli who cried to get traded to where he wanted.
Was rewarded just by his blood lines, how many other guys would dare or try to do that?
It makes me sick that both Manning's have a ring!
I don't like either one of them The Patriots will be back with a vengeance next year no play off slump for us.
I want to see us hit people in the mouth next year!
No Donte will not be back he was fazed out the offense it will be easy to replace his production for alot less money.
Donte will have to settle for at least 3 million to come back at the most.
Won't happen.
Don't underestimate BB doing what he has to do to get his linebackers even if we think he's giving up to much I see BB making one or 2 veteran trades.
A guy that intrigues me is Brandon Chillar I watched enough Rams games to see this guy was a bright spot on a bad defense.

in the same link there is an excerpt for an article questioning BB's interview to chris meyers . Was it so bad ? How is the losing coach in the SB supposed to react ? Iam glad our coach looks pissed after a loss instead of being just a nice guy.

I thought it was harmless as well. It's Letterman, after all, not to be taken seriously. But even though Eli's a "nice kid", don't forget that he whined his way into a draft day deal to the Giants just because he didn't want to play in San Diego. As "nice" as he is, he still started from behind in my eyes because of that punk move.

i will never like eli for that same way i dont like elway. if this stunt was pulled by anyone other than a manning , ESPN wouldve clobbered them like they are doing the pats now. But then they are all so supportive.

I don't think it's much of a secret that Belichick does not take to losing very well. I would call him a sore loser in fact (in the heat of the moment). We don't have to apologize for it, and we don't have to minimize it either - it is what it is. He's a great coach though, and given time, doles out ample credit where credit is due.

At the same time, no one in the league is more effusive in their praise for opposing players than BB. I absolutely don't want a coach that likes to lose, or even handles losing well. I want every loss to torture his soul so that he gets the players that much more ready to go.

There was a guy similar to this situation who turned out to be one of the greatest QBs of all time and a guy I have much respect for his name is John Elway - So don't hold something stupid like that against him,Maybe Eli could not stand being on the same team as crybaby Tomlinson and instead being with a team with great trradition like the Giants.

I guess we can agree to disagree just imagine if every player in the draft or even half of them pulled that crap.
Imagine the Patriots draft Chris long this year and he says I don't want to play for the Patriots I want to play for the Raiders where my dad was.
How would you feel about him?
I have much more admiration for a guy like Brady or Anderson who was just happy to get a chance on a team and made the most of it.
Brady was a niner fan and didn't cry about the Patriots drafting him in the 6th round it would of been easier for someone in his position to say I don't want to be here cut me i'll have a private audition for the niners and be a free agent.
But he didn't do that, part cause it was still pretty good money and he was thankful for the Patriots taking a chance on him.
I mean when a team is gonna give you the keys to their franchise and you spit in their face.
He never deserved a championship in my opinion.
Would of rather lost to the Chargers or Jags in the play off's.

every time i've read a thread like this since sunday, i've vowed: "that's the last time. i'll ignore the next one." obviously, that really works.

anyway, it seems to me that the only answer that Eli could have given that wouldn't have bothered one ormore of us in Patriots Nation would have been: "I don't know." Period, no other comment.

So, all in all, "trying to beat traffic" isn't too bad and just the littlest bit funny.

Time to move on!

I really hope the Giants make it to SB XLIII. I can't wait for the rematch.

I thought it was funny.

Also, just to be clear, in all likelihood (make that in all certainty) this was a joke written by Letterman's writers and rehearsed.

There is very little about that show that is spontaneous despite Dave's excellent acting as though he's hearing the answer for the first time, and the guests are frequently fed lines. Even the professional comedians on the show go over their responses before the taping with the producers.

The whole joke has a very "top 10" feel to it. Eli didn't "write" it.

Could someone explain to me what the all things bill belichik website is all about? Who started it? Why does it exist?

It's been around for years. I believe the woman who runs it was a fan of his in Cleveland and has tracked him ever since.

Nearly everythings negative about BB. I understand it not written by the person who runs it but it's a little strange.

Its probably just an RSS feed pulling every story with name in it. In the past it has always been quite positive. Or maybe Laura just took a wrong turn somewhere. Reading all that, however, makes me just shake my head at the vulture media. Last week they were all getting in line to say how great of a coach he was and how loose he was with the media. Today, he is the worst person imaginable because he lost the game. Just sad really. No wonder why he hates them.
