check these out:

1st and 10 at NYG 28 (8:42) L.Maroney right guard to NYG 28 for no gain (R.Torbor).
2nd and 10 at NYG 28 (8:10) T.Brady pass short left to K.Brady to NYG 25 for 3 yards (R.Torbor).
3rd and 7 at NYG 25 (7:23) (Shotgun) T.Brady sacked at NYG 31 for -6 yards (M.Strahan). 4th and 13 at NYG 31 (6:49) (Shotgun) T.Brady pass incomplete deep left to J.Gaffney.

3rd and 7 with the pressure Brady was facing all day and you decide to drop back and pass and get sacked for a 6 yard loss?

They should have ran it right here and pick up at least 2 yards. and make it 40 yard field goal.

This was a crucial error.

With the score 7 to 3, I don't think we were thinking field goal. Not really the way they played all year. Once you know the outcome, field goal seems great. But at the time, they were thinking first down. I have no problem with that. I guess I don't particularly understand the thinking in going for it.

I would have gone for the quick pass myself rather than a dropback.

Re: Play before 4th and 13(pushed out of field goal range or at least further)

I felt nervous the entire game... I wanted them to get at least up by a full score(7pts).

I felt so sure once they scored the moss td and were up by 4. I was like...no way they are going 80 plus yards.

Re: Play before 4th and 13(pushed out of field goal range or at least further)

I didn't understand the call because the previous few plays our ol was overwhelmed so 4th and 13 seemed like a mile.

Re: Play before 4th and 13(pushed out of field goal range or at least further)

Tough to criticize a pass on 3rd and 6 but knowing what I know now, a draw to Faulk sounds REAL good.

wasn't the o-line having pass protection issues at this point? why risk a sack? at least keep blockers in

The passing game was our strength all year, why would we not want to run it. A few series earlier we had third and a long one, and even then I wanted to see a quick pass, instead Maroney got tackled for a two yard loss and we had to punt.

3rd and 7 at the 25 and you want them settling for a field goal?

That's crazy.

I want them going for the first down right there by passing.

Meh, we should of thrown it. Why settle for field-goals. It all comes down to the offensive line NOT doing its job.

point is that you can't be sacked in that situation. 3rd down in FG range, can't be knocked back out of FG range..have to throw the ball away.

They were still in FG range. 48 yards isnt no gimmee but it atleast warrents an attempt. I guess BB and staff didnt have much confidence in Gots.

If the 31 yardline is out of FG range then we have some serious problems.

I just looked up Gostkowski's stats for the sake of it.

2006: 40-49 yards he was 2/4, 50+ 1/1
2007: 40-49 yards he was 3/5, and he didn't attempt any kicks longer than 50+

They should played for the fieldgoal. Points were at a premium. The passing game didn't work at all apart from the first and last drive.

BINGO! We were put into that position because Brady played like a rookie feeling the pressure. Before that play, I said, don't turn the ball over and don't take a sack, we're in good position for a FG. Brady proceeds to hold onto the ball, even when it's obvious he's going to get sacked. Just one of many errors he made on a night he proved that he is overrated.

the entire execution of the play from coaching to pass protection to hot routes to brady was bad.

Point Blank: You can't take a sack there

99.9% of the time I see Brady throw that ball somewhere.
