I'm interested in hearing what he has to say about our loss. If you have a complete transcript of this press conference, please post it here.

thank you.

Or, if someone could graciously give us a blow by blow...

he will say a whole lot of nothing. will be more of the same.

He was not happy last Sunday. The fact that he walked out early in the game proves it.

All he's going to say is, "they just executed better than we did" in 11 different ways in a disinterested tone. I wish he'd actually pinpoint what went wrong or why the offense had a severe lack of adjustments, throw your loyal fans a damn bone, Bill.

No place to listen online??

I'm tired of hearing this...
The clock DID show 0:00, and only then after was 0:01 put on after that.

I think Bill did the right thing, if he "forced" the Giants to run another play, everyone would be saying how much of an ahole he was for making them run anothe rplay.

Im really tired of all non patriot fans and their hate... no matter what he did or does, he will be made out to look bad.

However when you hear real players, and real analysts that are around the league, they all think he is an amazing coach. Telling. The Average "fan" is simply a jealous, simplistic tool that doesnt like to see others elevated above themselves.

Mike Reiss.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick held a conference call with Patriots reporters today (3 p.m.) and opened with the following remarks:

"As I said after the game, it's a disappointing end to a lot of good things that happened this season. Players did a great job all year long. We played a lot of good football, but we're certainly disappointed about the way it ended. We came so close, but it just didn't work out. It takes a lot to get to this point, but now it's starting over, into the '08 season, it's already time to move on. We're into the offseason and that's just the way it is. We'll start moving ahead toward next year."

More from the call to come.

More comments from Bill Belichick’s wrap-up conference call:

# On if he considered a challenge on the play in which Pierre Woods appeared to recover a fumble. “The officials ruled that there wasn’t any clear-cut possession and Mike Carey was standing right there in front of it. I can’t imagine that he would have ruled it any differently than the way he did when he’s standing right on top of the play. So I really didn’t give it much thought. I didn’t think about anything more than the next play at that point.”

# On if it is difficult to accentuate the positives of the season due to the ending. “It’s pretty much over. It’s time to move on. I’m not going to sit here and dwell on anything, good or bad, that happened in the past. It’s over. It is what it is. We played our last game of the ’07 season.”

# On what comes next for him and the team. “The first thing is to go back and look at what happened during the season and evaluate our team and our scheme and our players, and then we start moving into the team-building aspect, in free agency, the draft, and personnel decisions, and playbook. All the things like that – things we do to prepare for the offseason program, the spring camps, and ultimately the ’08 season.”

# Belichick said he has yet to re-watch the Super Bowl.

One final entry from the call is to come, which will include Belichick’s thoughts on why he left the field with one second to play.

Two final comments from Bill Belichick's wrap-up conference call with the media today:

# On why he left the field with one second remaining on the clock. “Basically, on that last play I wasn't really sure of the time. Everybody started on to the field and then I got over there and I wanted to congratulate Tom [Coughlin]. I've been in that situation before after the game. I wanted to get over there and congratulate him and congratulate him on the championship. There really wasn't much left at that point.”

# On if he expects Rodney Harrison, Junior Seau and Tedy Bruschi to return in 2008. “I think that at the end of each season, and I have said this in previous years and I would say it every year, I don’t think the day after the season is a great time to make decisions about anything. I think we all need to give the end of the season a little bit of time, and whatever decisions need to be made, sometimes they are timely decisions and you can’t wait forever on them, but I don’t the day after the season is a great time to be making a lot of important decisions on anything. So how those players feel now, and how they might feel a week from now, or two weeks from now, or a month from now, could be entirely different. I’ve certainly seen that in my career as a coach and I’ve had feelings after a game, that after a period of time have shifted a bit too for various reasons. I personally wouldn’t put too much into anything that happens soon after the end of any season, good or bad, or immediately after a particular game. A lot of times those are emotional decisions and not really good fundamental ones.”

I need a favor. Does anyone in here have a screenshot (or can get a screenshot) of the game time showing 00:00 while Bill was heading towards midfield to congratulate Tom C.? I want to show that shot to a bunch of ******s that doesn't believe there was no time left at that particular moment. Can someone make this screenshot it's own thread because I can't make one since I only have 4 posts. Thanks a bunch!

I saw the clock say 0 then go back to 1, I also saw the clock not move at all on one play of the Giants around 1:28 then it rattled off about ten seconds and put about 5 back on, I doubt this was the official clock though. But BB makes a solid point, often in the SB the crowd would be so overwhelming that if he didn't make it he would have been called out for not going over. He's always damned if he does or if he doesn't.

I remembered that Giants O and Pats D were on the field when BB walked out.

Watch a game again and you will see it.

People who were at the game have repeatedly said that the clock went to 0, players started onto the field, and then they put 1 second back on the clock and made them go back on the field for a final snap. Who knows what happened. I guess you had to be there.

I told you what I saw in my big SONY HDTV.

Whatever you saw was incorrect.. I had a friend at the game and BB walked out to shake Tom's hand only when the clock read 0:0. Later on, they added 1 second, which I think is silly...

should you not walk out UNTIL officials say the game is OVER.?

it doesn't matter any way. It's time to move on.

No of course it matters! Let's get Arlen Specter to expunge the regular season record this year, because Belichick is mean and rude and doesn't dress well! The fate of the world depends on coaches walking out across the field at precisely the right moment, not waiting too long "avoiding" the other coach, or jumping the gun! Handshakes must be firm, sincere, and last a certain amount of time!

It's about time those Patriots stopped thinking they're above everyone else as demonstrated by mis-timed handshakes!
