Too bad I'm from New Orleans and am a Saints fan. Good try though.

Seriously, 4 letter words have nothing to do with it. Brady LAUGHED and said "is Plaxico playing defense?". He said "17 points? Ok" sarcastically.

Now, to be fair, I have no problem with what Brady did. Heck, I laughed at what Plaxico said.

But to be mad at the Giants players for saying anything when they were the NFC's fifth best team heading into the playoffs and they beat arguably the best NFL team in the last 10 years in the biggest game of the year, they can say whatever they want.

Sigh.

For the Giants to boast or be arrogant or to say we stuffed it in the Patriots' faces is one thing. I'm fine with that.

But to call Brady a quitter, to call other players soft, and to insult the opposition is quite another.

If you don't see the difference, you're just dumb.

J D Sal, I think a lot of the anti-Pats stuff comes from the "hired guns" they pulled in this season. I mean, no one likes Randy Moss, really. He's one step away from T.O. in most fans eyes. He was a Viking, during the "boat trip" days and then a Raider. Yuck. Then with Stallworth coming in, it started to look like a "yankees" team being put together.

As for your O-line. I wish we had that O-line all year. My QB wouldn't be sacked 47 times. Instead I have no center and a disgruntled gaurd and two tackles playing in their free agency season. Nice.

Welker was the stud on that team all year. He has my respect. The Defense, well Jr Saeu Kid of made it look like the "hired gun" thing again, and then Rodney Harrison, man, that guy irks everyone who isn't a Pats fan. Trust me, if he was on the Steelers, you'd hate him and I'd love him.

As for smart, hard working, well owned, I'm pretty sure the Rooney's fit into that category. Build through the Draft, develop talent and play hard week in and week out. Maybe that's why as fans, we clash so hard. The two teams are very comparable from that aspect. Vrabel was a Steeler first and is one of the only linebackers we've ever cut that actually succeeded on another team.

Moss was not a Viking during the boat trip. That made it funnier. They blamed him and then after he left they got in more trouble.

I respectfully disagree the reason America hates the Patriots is a "hired gun" angle. That may be YOUR reason, but its far far down on the list of complaints I hear about the Patriots.

And besides, every team has a few. Najeh Davenport didn't start with the Steelers. Neither did starters Sean Mahan, James Farrior, Tyrone Carter. No one cares about that. And it doesn't matter anyways. What they're missing is the way the Patriots go about their business. The way the organization works. It should be appreciated, not hated on. Of course you root against them. You talk about Rodney Harrison, what do you think fans thought of Joey Porter for years? Every team has that. But when you look at the big picture, you can root against the Patriots because you're a fan of another team, but the hatred is dumb, illogical and counter to being a true football fan. In fact, I can amend that, hating them because they beat your team is fine....but there should be some underlying appreciation too and somehow most of America has missed the boat on that.

My mother has a saying. "Laught today, cry tomorrow"
Payback is a *****.

Well I see your point on Most of America hating them. As a Steeler fan, yes I hate to see them beat my team. But I'd rather play the Pats when they are a their best, not when they are 3-13 of the days of old. In fact, one of the reasons we play in the regular season every year now, is because both teams have good records at the end of the season the year prior. So we are almost always on each other's schedule. You're more a nemisis at this point than a rival, until we beat you in your house in an AFC Title game...or 2 or 3, you have our number, and I hate it, but I love it, for what it is. A milestone. The year we went all the way, we didn't have to play you guys in the playoffs. Because you had to play your nemesis. No team in the country enjoys the Broncos not making the playoffs anymore than the Patriots.

I think America loves the Underdog. And hates the Juggernaut. This year, the Pats were the Cream of the Crop. and usually, most people, love to see the mighty fall. Had the Cowboys gone 14-2 and made it to the Superbowl, and this same Pats Team been 12-6 with a home wild card game and two wins on the road in the playoffs, say against the Colts and Steelers, I bet most football fans would have been pulling for the Pats to beat the Cowboys. For some reason, the Cowboys are the most hated team, its just they haven't won crap for so long, most people forgot about hating them.

It all comes down to this:

If you are a die hard sports fan, regardless of which team or sport you root for, there is one concrete fact:

At some point in your "fan career", you will have to eat crow. Period. No excuses, no whining, no fighting back, nothing. Just sit there and eat it. IT HAPPENS TO EVERYBODY. The real key, the real testament to your fanbase, is how you take it. You can either eat it and relish the day when it is someone else's turn, or you can sit and whine and cry like a 4-year old refusing to eat broccoli. Don't think people are singling you guys out. It happens to everyone at some point.

It happened to the Chargers last year, the Colts the year before that, it happened to the Rams the year you guys won your first, etc...

It's an unfortunate reality of being a sports fan. I am a New Orleans Saints/Purdue Boilermakers/Indiana Pacers fan. So trust me, I am WELL versed in the taste and different recipes of crow eating.

So when it is your turn to scoot up to the dinner table, don't make excuses, don't reflect the hate onto other people, just eat the crow and root your arse off the next season for the Crow Special to be served in someone else's city.

It's not a knock on the Patriots, it's just something everyone has to go through at some point(s) in their life.

actually, for those of us who don't go out of our way to talk trash or make anyone else feel like crap when their team loses, we feel absolutely no need to "eat crow". I never promised a win, and I never said or did anything that I'd take back now.

and personally, I don't enjoy rubbing anyone's face in a loss, so I expect them to behave similarly in return. But I guess maturity is a lot to ask for out of some sports fans.

they can say whatever they want.
Yes they can...and I want to hear ALL the garbage coming from these thugs...it6 will be pay back big time...Nothing worse than sore winners...Sorry...

I'm surprised at how wrongheaded (read: stupid) how many of the Giants fans posts are here.
