Ok, so what is true value of Moss now ? Yes, he put up unsane #'s in regular season, but was effectively negated for ALL 3 playoff games(incl SB).

Now, every team in the league know what one has to do to stop the Patriot O juggernaut onslaught.

I have had serious doubts about McDaniels ability to adjust the offense against good teams. Proof is in the pudding after the Eagles game.

So, is it really worth signing Moss to long term deal at high CAP # and yet the Offensive schem has shown no flexibility to adjust to get him more open. It's almost like were better suited to have 2 Great outside WR's , or go with middle of the pack guys who don't become the focus.

Finally, we're better served by using $$ to revamp the D and OL than tie it into a WR who other teams now know how to negate effectively.

dont forget to ask your self this question when determining the value of Moss.

If Moss leaves, what happens to Welker? How will it affect Welkers abilities if the opposing defenses can concentrate more on him now that Moss is gone?

One) you are an idiot
two) i sincerely hope, but doubt, that the GMs on 31 teams are as big of an idiot as you and don't even contact his agent.

Moss is the best WR in the NFL.

yea, i'm the idiot. My man Randy surely showed the up for the big games vs Jax, SD and Giants.

Read what the thread says "FUTURE VALUE OF MOSS", moron. Not PAST Value of 2007 season.

Troy Brown seemed to do just fine for years in the slot with the likes of Branch and Givens on the outside, and neither of those two can be considered elite WR's who stretched the field.

Welker is a special player, with or w/o Moss. The point is are we better served by having 2 elite WR on the outside to force other D's to stop consistenly doubling Moss. Staying as is will mean what we saw in playoffs against Moss will be routine in 2008 reg. season. Furthermore, there will be no Stallworth to help offset that.

One thing worth pointing out--a receiver like Moss is fairly useless if (A) your QB can't throw the deep bomb (e.g., Pennington), or (B) doesn't have the time to get the throws off in the first place (e.g., David Carr in Houston).
